View Full Version : How do I scale a rigged object
Elliotjnewman 11-07-2002, 08:19 PM I would like to know how I can scale an object which has been boned, IK'd and clustered. When I group the object with this rig I can scale it up fine, but then when I move my clusters they have no effect. Is there a way I can scale up my rigged model and keep all the bones, IK's and Clusters working?
Thanks. Ell.

I believe you just have to group the IK handles and joints then scale the group. The clusters and everything should still work ok. Only scale the IK handles and joints tho. If you add the mesh or the cluster handles strange things will happen.

put it all in a group and grab the top node, you can scale it as if the setup isnt even there (it will scale everything!)

I've just tried to scale up the model by selecting the joints, and the IK handles then I grouped them by hitting ctrl+g. The clusters become selected when I select these anyway. When I then tried to scale the model I then tried to move the clusters and it didnt deform the model!
What do u mean by selecting the top node?
please I'm begging u all!!! help!!!
