PROJECT INFO.
SUBJECT:07401 is a 10 minute short film shot in all live-action environments with all (6 total) Maya-based 3-D animated characters. It's a sci-fi short about a government inspired cloned human project to forward society. The story portrays the endless loop of the philosophical struggle between the utilitarian (progression) vs. the humanitarian (ethics) in subtext. We took a Bernardo Bertolucci approach to a science fiction concept, where all our lighting and props on set were symbolic to the concept. Once final composite is complete, we plan to transfer to a 35mm internegative and color correct on a DaVinci color corrector and finish on a 1080 progressive High-Def master for film festivals.
GOALS
The main goals we are striving for through this short film is to have a well-done film to add to our reels, get into various festivals world-wide (submitting to Cannes, Sundance, Toronto, Berlin, festivals and much more), and create a tight-niche collaboration of people that may work on future projects.
