We're looking for Game Level designers to wow gamers with fun and compelling gameplay.

To play with us, you'll have at least 1-3 years of experience designing single-player or multi-player game levels, preferably Action/Adventure or FPS. You enjoy working in a close team environment, and you're willing to be flexible, following the Game Designer's direction. Your passion for developing interior and exterior spaces will show in your portfolio, and we'll see great map designs along with strong communication and writing skills. Your technical experience scripting AI behaviors and your creation of interactive spaces will be icing on the cake.

Job Requirements include:
Thorough knowledge of one or more existing level editors
True passion for video games
Must be located in Seattle, WA (it's GREAT here!!)
Must be 18 years old or over
Basic knowledge of standard 2D & 3D tools

What we need from you:
A current resume, including experience and qualifications.
You MUST send us a portfolio URL or CD containing completed 3D levels designs for Quake, Half Life, etc. and design documents. Your samples will show an understanding of game play and strong design principles. You'll want to include a text file with your levels to give instructions on how to load the levels, and provide a brief summary of your design thought process for each level.

argh at least you most likely have the skills though. :)

I'm in the physical area, but my experience (w the NonDisclosureAgreements of course) is as a game tester (alpha to beta) (general to specific playabilities a.i./ interfaces etc). Console & PCs.

Cool that you are "SO CLOSE" by the way. Maybe they could work with you electronically if you can't do the visa thing. Especially if they like your portfolio.

Best wishes to you all. Make us some fun games eh. :)

Well Im going to try - no guarantees right? I do have the tools but work visas are hard to get I hear. We just had someone from Lucas Arts here and they said the same thing.. getting over the border is hard.

We'll see. I do have lots of software knowledge and the schooling now it's just getting the job :)

Nods - electronically would be cool as long as the server dosent crash or the connection is like, 6bits a second heheheeh!!

Game testing could lead you somewhere too you never know. I had friends that worked as game testers and went to school and became modellers for the company after a time. They now have moved to a bigger company in Toronto.

Thank you too - Good luck! I know you'll find something!

Cheers!
Crudge :)
