Ok, so here is my basic idea. I have seen alot of the New Orleans flood damage, and have those scenes in my mind. I am thinking of a future, where the snow caps have melted, and a major city is underwater.
There are a new breed of pirate that now can fly, using animal hides and the such to make "balloon ships".. they move about and cause havok...
anyways, still shady on the details, and what the hell the balloon doods are doing in the city in the first place...(dropping balloon bombs??) but oh well, it'll come around..

Ok.. Here is the ships basic modeling..
It is a bit cartoony and strange..I think i am going to add more hatches, and detail.. but this is pretty far along for what i am going for.
I am going to start on the scene to assure i am on the right track here....

A rough shot of what the city flooded with water might appear like. still very crude models ...... but looking good

Wow! I really like it! I think boats would also be a viable mode of transportation. Maybe you could have some pirates invading a pedestrian boat or something. It might also be cool to make the rooftop a pirate "landing pad"/fort. Just some ideas that came to me when I saw your concept. Keep it up! I look forward to more!

Now here is a fun idea.
I would think the pirates would be in the city looking for loot, and stealing from the various remaining inhabitants.
Great idea, and the models look great thus far.

Ok, well more building modeling..
Need much more work.. and tinkering on pretty much all the buildings. but i am sure you get where i am going at.

hi, i like your modelling a lot, the scene is to calm, a more twisted camera and a little storm touch would be very nice:D, keep doing this good.
cool concept, modeling and composition!! keep it up buddy!

Nice start with modeling. The buildings need more work as u said(details like windows vents etc.) and i agree about more a dramatic camera angle.
Very good progress, more updates...

Ok, well i have changed the camera view to a bit more dramatic angle. I have also started do detail on some of the buildings and street stuff. But much more to go.

Thanks to all who have actually taken the time to comment.
As stated earlier, i have added a more dramatic camera angle. i would love some feedback on that fix.
The buildings are going to get alot more work. Modeling and obviously texture wise. there will be some green dingy mold looking stuff going up all the buildings etc.. from years of water....
adam.. the landing pad sounds sweet, but the angle of the camera kind of renders that moot, since that is more of "top" angle item to use..Right?? :)
i would like the ships to be "bombing the city" with something.. but it does not make much sence.. so any advise or suggestions on that would be gnar.
again. thank you.

Hi, the camera angle is much more interesting now and more dramatic.
Will you keep this "square" format?
No ideas of what could be dropped of these ships... I will think about that on "background task" now ; ]
good luck :)
