Hah! this is great Hooch! I think maybe though the 't pose' would be better for modelling such a muscular dude... This will look great cartoony:thumbsup:

DaddyMac: Totally agree with you, I don't know what was I thinking! :D
but then again, it was 3:35 am and I was in a rush,

Great concept. Since your going with the toony style, maybe you can add toon elements to the punch, like squash and stretch. Waiting to see your models. Good luck on the challenge:thumbsup:

I didn't like the way the first head end up, it was to real for my taste, so I'm making a new version.
Trying to make it look more Cartoonish and more powerfull.

Great start. The ear does look a bit smallish.

Will be monitoring this one, hope you develop it well. :)

Hooch
09-16-2005, 12:44 PM
xompanthy: thanks for your visit man.
I made the ears very small in order to make the jaw look bigger,
and since I'm going for a cartoonish style, I think it'll work fine.
whoever, I'll make some test and see if it work with bigger ears as well.

• Good 2 C U in the fight! great start, tought i think u were right when u said it was too realistic, i think u shoud go for a funniest style according to your sketch, but maybe the way you treat the textures would do the trick.

I like the concept man, always wanted to have that kinda cam angle around the ring, would be so cool, easpecilly for the K1 tournament, Kaokai and his flying kicks with such pov, that would be something, anyway, keep it up !

Testing the body topology, still work to be done in some areas, like neck & boots.
don't know if the head looks to big though.
What do you guys think of that?

Add more detail to his face & neck mostly.
The rest of detail will come with texture and displacement maps.
Boots and globes will come later.
Now I'm moving on to my second Character.
Hope you like it folks!

Buena suerte, ya texturizado el modelo se verá cool,

The same from me...my humble advise is to watch out a bit the biceps (they are..hanging a bit..they shouldn't i think)...and take care a bit more his chin....also line between shoulder muscle and chest muscle must be a bit more defined i think...but that is only if you are going for a more realistic look...:)

EDIT :...here are some refs too..

Dimitris: Thanks for the refs man, picture # 2 I think it's gonna do the job!
and yes, you're right about the biceps, I'll fix that & then I'll start all over in Zbrush,
I'm planning to add all the detail there, like chest muscle wrinkles and so on.
