This is a model a have done for a Swedish boat building company.
It’s modelled in Maya using NURBS and rendered in MR using
HDRI with 3 additional area lights.

Comments are welcome.

Nice looking model, but i think boat designers should start using more original ideas. I know its not your fault but its just, to me it looks like everyother boat. Your good with Nurbs

Could you add a wireframe model as well to show the tesselation?

It looks good, especially the modeling, but I think the render leaves to desire... I mean, the stage could be more impressive, there's lack of reflections and contrast, it doesn't seem a HDRI render. Why 3 area lights together with HDRI?

http://www.timsaundersdesign.com and check out tim's prometheus. No, he's not using Maya, but will soon be using the other Alias Wavefront product line: Studio Tools. In any case: it doesn't look like any other boat to me :-)

Cheers,
