This is just an attempt to simulate the surface of Sun as seen by infrared camera. The whole thing was done in Max7 and its built-in Video Post. The red glow and blur was added in After Effects. Here is a small movie, showing Sun in action. I guess it looks timelapsed and sun looks a bit small, but here it is -

Looks great to me....my only crit would be about the sun flair in the begining looks a little to fast maybe have it shoot up fast then crash down fast...other than that i think you did a great job:applause:

Can you do me favor and critique my animation http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=275959 no one has done so yet and it would mean alot to me if you did

Hi...ya the flare is troubling me too.
I'm downloading your anim, it may take some time ..... I'm on dialup right now :scream:
