I like what you have done so far! My crits: his back legs look like they were shaved. I think the hair texture should extend to cover the back legs. Also, the protrusion coming from the ribcage of the bottom of the bull looks weird. I'm assuming that is its genitalia but I don't think that this should be visible from the camera angle here.

the guidelines are the line of action and force arcs.the circles show how i want the image to be seen by the viewer.suprisingly the first circle is on the bull as our hero is the boy.but i want to show the huge, furious bull first with the guy performing the spectacular act.hope u all like my idea of compositig the cowboy and the bull.further compositing with he background will come soon.

I'm back... :scream:

about the lighting... 2 feeling...
- it appear very sweet... really good in the dust... a good choice
- too much sweet under a hard light of an hot country...

2 differents mood possible... choice depend of the concept... anyway, the actual lighting give a very pleasant result... but maybe a lighting hardier can increase the action, and of course, increase the spectacular way... just my thoughts... maybe an idea... :)

velascodearmas
11-18-2005, 02:26 AM
Really nice. The composition and lighting are top notch. I think that the bull's face looks a bit "posed", though. Just a feeling that he isn't totally into the action. Maybe if he looked down, instead of off sowhere else?

11-23-2005, 01:34 AM
Yes!! I love it. You rock man. This is by far one of the best images in the contest. Truely spectacular and awesome. :bounce:

I would take away the lens flare, or at least minimize it a tad.

By the way, the angle is perfect.

Brian

This is awesome in so many ways. I love the painterly feel to it.

Please take away the lens flare. Photographers cringe when people try to fake this very undesirable lens effect.

11-23-2005, 06:14 AM
Perfect framing for me... a little bit more at left... very little...

and I'm okay with vrf remark about the lens flare... your masterpiece don't need this kind of artefact

Gunilla
11-23-2005, 06:37 AM
Wow! This has come together extremely well - congrats!

The camera angle makes the scene even more dramatic - good job. I agreee with the others on loosing the lens flare. Wonderful work - good luck

makaron
11-23-2005, 06:43 AM
the facial expression on the young rodeo rider is just perfect, really looks like he is holding on for all he can... :bounce: the only thing I see, that the middle part of the fence look like a copy of the left part of it.. maybe do something about that? otherwise just a spectacular image...

The kids expression! The dynamic pose of the bull! The thunderhead gathering in the distance!
Perfect!
I agree about the wrist and tail crits and I would think the power and weight of the bull would throw up some dust but this is simply a beautiful rendering.
You are one kickass artist!

You may use the goldem metric center.
If you put the face of the ox in the golden center (or the face of the boy in the oposity center) will still better.

Tim ,a 12 year old son of a famous Bull Rider of his times always wanted to be like his father. His father used to encourage his son's passion for the same sport but on tamed bulls. He even bought the bullriders costume for Tim.But Tim didn't enjoy riding tamed bulls. One fine day Tim forced his Dad to let him ride his wildest bull but his request was in vain. That same day Tim somehow managed to enter the fence keeping out of his fathers sight and sat on back of the wildest bull. But his father noticed Tim sitting on the bull.Till he could reach the fence for help,Tim was already being carried by the bull. Tims father was surprised to see his son in total control of the wildest bull.He was stunned looking at the spectacular sight of his life. His young son performing a spectacular act made him realize that it was all in his blood. But soon he got Tim out of bulls back safely and warned him that he was too young for the sport.Tim later grew up to be known as the youngest Bull Rider(rodeo).

Wow the models looks so nice and dynamic, textures fits so perfect, but the lighting looks so strange, like in studio, not outside, and why that low rez sky in back, it ruins everything, there would help dof to blur the back....

Good Job dude..
Really loved your work. Its good to see talent from Home come up and really stand up amongst the crowd.
I had an idea of spectacular challenge in Mind but due to time restrictions could not enter the challenge. I think your work was really good from concept to the end product.

Congrats and well done,
Cheers,
Abhi
