First challenge here, so I'm looking for a good concept idea...
I was thinking at what it's spectacular nowadays... and I found out that circus is one of that shows that always amaze at every age :)
so this is the first quick sketch.
I'm working on Photoshop

Other idea, always based on the circus: a fantastic creature swim in a little pool, she's a siren and all the people stare at her fascinated... but what are those strange seams on her tail? And why is there a stair behind the pool?

poor idea I know :P

hello,
cool concept and excellent sketch.I love the pose of the second sketch.
how about finding some activities for her like making up herself or each other(she owns her Beauty salon) oppure mangiare pasta o giocare a carte.just my opinion.

Hi there laura, it's good to se another italian around. Welcome to cgTalk and good luck for your entry! I find the siren concept quite good. I was going for a 'siren concept' too. In my concept there was this siren suntanning on the beach with normal people.

@Squibbit : thanks man :) good luck!! I've seen your cool concepts... ;)

for the not italian people: Hi! it's a lot of time that I'm here around and this time I've decided , at my own risk and danger, to entry... as a friend of mine say: "the only risk is to learn something" :); I hope to make a better composition because now it's a mess! Good Luck!!

Hi, Laura! That is a good concept. I like the idea of the "costume" mermaid better than the mechanical one. You could achieve some sort of paradox between mundane and spectacular. Good luck!
