I give you some forces to start man then ? good thing, I'm very happy to follow your work.

I repeat it... I love this idea and you can go...

If I can give you just one council about your first sketch... I think you will be something more impressive and expressive with the face's guy at the front of us.. for sure with an estonished expression... so strong and so nice (not niche...) for the spectacular impact...

Well... I keep you working mate and I want to see some polys soon... seeya :wavey:

I'm partaged between the 2 version... second one permit to have more depth but appear with to much perspective, much visible with angle formed by the wall...
and the thing that I like in the first is be more near, more implicated with the painter... a blend of this 2 sketch for me... and always with the face of the guy visible, to catch his glance, wondered by the "spectacular"

I agree, about the angle, it must not show beyond the wall to the left, eh?

About the face, I have to cover my weaknesses, I dont think I ll be able to model a suprissed artists face!

Lemog
09-15-2005, 09:36 PM
No, it's not necessary to see "all" this wall for the power of this picture.
3 distinct plans... wall + guy + lifepaint...

I know, I've understood for the face... I just think that to see his face increase the "spectacular" side... you have 3 months... you can try... if it's not ok... that will be time to turn him, no ?

Hey Sergio,

good luck for da challenge. Didn´t knew you´ve joined also.

the concept is cool.

But it devinetley needs a great environment like in the streets or on the roofs of Chicago or New York. If you ever saw the 80s movie "Beat Street" then you know what I mean.

Hey sergio... Very nice idea... You need to be careful with your modelling though... a lot of geometry interesecting right now and a lot of it isn't needed at this point... If i were you I would use a low res object to get the volume of object that i needed to create and then subdivide it to add furthe details... Or planes (grids) intersecting and blending... Keep it up man... best of luck..

I like the concept very much, it has great Potential.
Good Luck to you.
The latest Post with the Modelling seems a bit confusing and the Polys are very dense, maybe start of with soemthing more adjustable, just a thought, great work anyway. Good luck to you.

this?

icedeyes
09-22-2005, 11:55 AM
the tight angle looks better imho but i think there should be some kind of interaction with the "live paint"... something along the lines of it revolving around the grafity artist in an intimidating (like its going to chocke him) or loving (in a non sexual manner like hughing)... just some ideas....

Lemog
09-22-2005, 12:04 PM
In the second pic, the painter seem to be prisoner of his art... even if paint live...

...for me, in the first, the picture breath more, but it's not necessary to see much the environment at left... just left/top will be sufficient.

Then, between the 2 pics... bit more near the first...

And don't forget to throw the crazyNUTguy on the poster... damn, I'm frightened by him :scream: hahahaha

09-22-2005, 02:52 PM
Hey - this is an amazing concept you got going here, it can be truly unique - very good!
I think for comp, something in between the wide shot and the thight angle could work well - we want to see the guy up close but also the environment he's in. The portrait angle could work too, but perhaps bringing in that piece of sky?

Great work

sergioKomic
09-22-2005, 02:57 PM

A tilt down or a move down? Should I go for intimidation?
Move down and tilt up. But just slightly.

The reason I feel this, is because right now it looks like we are watching from a position above the spray-guy.... and I think it would perhaps be better to be on the same level instead, or perhaps slightly from below. But intimidation would be too strong a word... don't think that's what you're going for.

1 more Q: Should I bother modelling the Bg buildings or would a decent homemade map would suffice?
Considering the layout and the relative size of those buildings... I'd definitely go for a decent map.

But don't listen to me, I have a long history of screwing things up :scream: Take my advice and do just the opposite of what I suggest and you'll be safe :D

Even tho I know I have nooooooooo chance!

Me too mate;) I looove finishing...

I began my career as a commercial freelance grafitti artist back in 1988 and your piece hits a real sweet spot in me... It's clear from your outline that you know what you're doing mate:thumbsup: I think that the fill should be much brighter or saturated to further contrast the almost depressing grey of your city and skyline... Congrats on a rockin image so far Serg! :buttrock:

Using his very soul while giving colour to the desaturated cities, the Graffiti artist is amazed , along with the viewer, to see that his piece is spectacularly becoming alive leaping of the wall and the pictures frame ass well.

Below the "Final Image Status" you should have a thumbnail of your final picture...to check that everything is ok, plus a refresh button in the case you would reupload a nother picture... And then you should receive an e mail which confirm your final upload...

Hope everything is ok.
