Hey folks,

i have a scene with a few rotating objects and used a 2D motion blur on it to exaggerate their speed and motion. So far it worked perfectly but the problem arises as soon as i want to animate a camera flight. The camera's movement is calculated as a part of the motion blur, so when the camera moves around the objects or zooms in the whole scene gets blurred. Is there any way to ignore the camera's movement in the 2DmotionBlur in SWrender though keep the blur of my rotating objects?
I would try a 3D motionblur and / or MRrender but the scene is so complex that only 2Dmotionblur and swrender will work.

thx for any answer or hint in advance,
-wizz

Why not render the rotating objects seperately and composite them in later ? this way you will also be able to tweak the MBlur till you are satisfied without worrying about the rest of the scene...

hmm thx for your hint. I thought about that but i don't know exactly how to do that. Which software would you recommend for compositing? I know combustion and AfterFX quiete well but i don't know if ALIAS has it's own compositing application. Would you use the 2D motionblur of the compositing app or just render the scene in two seperate passes: One with mblur and one without, then put them together?
