OK, here's the deal: I know that everyone is going to ignore me and I find talking without being listened pathetic, so I will not post any descriptions for any of my entries. Only for the final entry, if I'll get there.
Just to let you know, in case you waste your time lurking through here...

Don't say that! NO one will ignore you if you just make yourself known throughout the community, by posting on other peoples' threads! But, anyways good luck to ya, Holla!

Hi dimmur,
initial reason for posting: to prove you wrong on your second post
So, what is that shiny thing in the sky? Anything spiritual? (four horsemen? revelation?)
Hope you change your mind and say something unless you find it pathetic to post descriptions when being listened to, too....

Hi friend,
nice concept. What do you think about having the main character slightly on the left (for exemple) to improve de dynamism of the compo?
Waiting for your work in progress.

Heh, somebody actualy posted here...I'm sorry for your waste of time. And that first sketch, forget about it, it is bullpoop, was based on visual impact. I'm doing a more philosphical approach now. And I'll finish on time (yeah, I now I have only 1 day left), no matter what.

I tried a different apporach than most of the entries. Instead of an image with visual impact as the main or even the only element in the image, I made this based on some sort of "philosophical" thinking of mine.
This picture should be red from bottom up. There are six (the imperfect number) hands holding a knife into someone's head. Those hands are the people around that person, the enviroment, the ones who made him commit the ultimate act of desperation: suicide.
The knife is the element that links two worlds: the real world, the dark area at the bottom of the image, with the hands, and the fantasy world that's inside the dying person's mind, world wich will now become his reality. And that world I wanted to illustrate somehow, the power and the possibilities that the human mind & soul have, the spectacularity of the human spirit. The mind/soul is capable of creating such beautiful things, but also such twisted, wicked and abominable things.
This guy's mind has created this world dominated by a dark being, wich is linked with the "person's" mind with his tongue. All his power is given by the mind. And he controlls everything.
There's also a good, tranquil part in this world: the left part, the cliffs. The 2 sides are separated by a cloud and mountains in the background. That cloud is neutral: it is composed of pure water particles (pure->good), but also it has a dark, cold, sad color (dark->evil).
And at the middle of the sides, there is this misterious tree, covered in fog. He's situated on the path indicated by the tip of the knife. That tree represents a new life, it is a dead tree ready do get back to life. A new beggining, life after death.
This life that you create after you die, a living dream wich you could have created when you were alive, is a revelation obtained by death in this case.
This was started and finished in one day, with Painter IX and Photoshop 7.

:hmm: I like the idea Tudor and once I'd read the approach you took, then I can really see what you were doing. I like the fact that the more you look at the image, the more you see...like a true artist
You should try and post more next time as you'll find people are always interested in seeing what you're doing....
Good luck with the Philisophical approach and hopefully you'll try the next challenge to :applause: :bounce:

Wow, somebody noticed me...I am realy surprised, in a good way. I don't know what to say but thank you. I actualy wanted to quit this challenge, because I was realy depressed and I had no motivation. I finished this challenge only because I thought it was not honorable to enter it and do nothing about it. I realised that 1 day before the deadline, at night, that's why I din't posted over a long period of time. Meh, I did what I could and it is not enough and now I regret that I even entered this challenge, I made a fool out of myself. I don't know if I'll enter the next challenge, I shall see how I feel about it.
