Thats a great idea for a superhero image, I like your sketches so far. Somehow you should put a small "s" on the character.:) Look forward to the modeling and Good luck.
Hahaha, the concept is really funny! And your sketches are nice - you really have to make a cute super-baby!

Hey! I didn't realize you had the 3D challenge goin' on also! Thought I'd stop by to give this thread a bit o' love.
Great idea for this one (great impact with the concept drawing) and I like the super baby designs. Keep goin'!
09-13-2005, 04:22 AM
Yeah, I decided to do both of them, Thanks Artjunkie I am glad you like the idea!
09-13-2005, 05:17 AM
Here is the latest stuff of what I am doing, cheers, please crit the model. I need to see if every one sees the same thing that may be wrong, holla!
09-13-2005, 06:07 AM
The model is looking good, especialy the blond curl, but I do see some things in it that are odd. The arms are too skinny. The head also looks too narrow from the front, but looks like the right height from the side. It also goes too far back, or isn't round enough on top, I'm not sure. The tip of the nose also looks like it should come down. I like the concept for your entry. Good luck!:)
09-13-2005, 06:38 AM
Looking good dude, but i would say that the top of the chest is looking alittle defined for a child and shouldn't join the neck. and with the face you seem to be missing flared nostrals (if you know what i mean)
Great start though man.......
09-13-2005, 09:21 AM
Waahaahaa! Cool idea, man!
It's like a sequel to "The Incredibles" (would have the tagline 'four years later')
Oh, and flared nostrils does sound like a good point.
09-13-2005, 03:32 PM

very strong babe here  good stuff man !
09-18-2005, 05:01 PM
Damn beelow, youre quick! You already got your baby meshed out? Quickness!
Dude, I seriously have to sit down and force myself to work more in 3D. I see the benefits, being able to layout your scene and display it in different angles, light it ten million different ways... its endless. Im ok at it, but its just so sssllllloooww for me. That learning curve for me is a bitch! It's so much easier for me to just sketch something out than to actually build it from scratch.
I always thought 3D as the dopest form of digital art though... I know a lot of people wouldnt agree with me but when you look at the sheer scope of what is involved in making a 3D image, dude, its like playing GOD. YOURE MAKING EVERYTHING! YOURE DEALING WITH MATHEMATICS! YOURE MODIFYING EVERY ASPECT OF LIGHTING A SCENE! Straight up:)
09-18-2005, 07:49 PM
hey, funny concept, coool,i think the baby needs a more attractive and more younger face! goodluck, man!

Super baby is looking good! The concept is great..can't wait to see it finished!
09-19-2005, 03:32 AM
Right now I am just trying to figure out mental ray for skin and other stuff, never used mental ray before, because I never really do digital stills! Here is the model up close, haven't did any detail work yet, holla!
09-19-2005, 07:23 AM
Hi Bryce! nice going) I think maye be concentrating on the concepts would help,,cause you can always tweak the models later, according to placements(I think),, eg stuff which you may not see much ,could be given less importance or even chuked off while modeling.
09-19-2005, 07:56 PM
Hooch- Aight, I aint got much time as of now. tryin to do finals right now, thanx for the support!:D
Ultemate- thanx, I will enjoy every last bit of this contest!
jddog- Yeah that was the idea:rolleyes:, LOL thanx!:D
Mecha Hate Chimp-HaHahaha! Yeah same here on that! I love putting pencil to paper, It was and still kind of hard for me to adjust to digital art, but now I am starting to fall in love with it! I am still learning new stuff as we speak just going from website to website just reading on different pov's on digital art and doing tuts out the ass! Thanx for your support Chimp, hollaback!:scream:
Madlight_19880- I will try my best to soften up the face some more! thanx!
the1st_angel- thanx, man! Glad to see you back in action, good luck with your entries!
frenzymedia- I will do so, thanx man!

09-19-2005, 08:11 PM
Nice work so far - i really like the idea. One of my abandoned ideas was to have a super strong baby bending the bars of his crib!
What kind of anatomy are you going for? Its hard to tell if you are making him muscular or chubby, like a baby.
Keep it up - are you going for the lifting the train idea?
09-19-2005, 10:05 PM
I wanted to go with the chubby but a little muscular look, I may change it up a bit later to a chubby look, and I wanted him to lift up a bus in the middle of the street, I am thinking as I go along, I could have maybe did a better sketch huh?? I will do one this weekend to convey what I want to go for! thanx Andy glad to see you in my thread!
09-19-2005, 11:51 PM
The super baby looks good , I think the cape needs some folds around the baby's neck . It looks to form fitting to the shoulders and neck of the baby. I look forward to the skin shader being rendered.
09-20-2005, 03:41 PM
Hey, cool consept!:)
09-20-2005, 11:25 PM
mmoir- thanx, man I will get around to that, and fix the cape!
suk-grigorij- thanx man good luck to ya!
09-20-2005, 11:38 PM
hi man, nice idea, the only critic for now is the nose of the baby you have to make it tin o litle and more rounded, at that age all his body is more rounded, see you soon good luck.
09-21-2005, 12:19 PM
I will make the corrections zhay13, thanks!
09-21-2005, 08:48 PM
hahaha Nice concept!
Super Baby! Very good!
work in the composity of you scene! Can be still better.
09-22-2005, 01:41 PM
Hi beelow, nice work so far. Your skill modeling is good, i only think that the proportions of the baby are a bit strange. I think that the body is a bit big in relation the head, no? Well, it's my opinion. Sorry for my english. Good luck
09-22-2005, 01:47 PM
Hello beelow, excellent work for now, the baby looks very cool and healfy :)
wow... how do you manage doing both challenges... Anyway, nice start on the baby. In the furture you might want to add a few people sticking their heads out the bus window. Cool concept, good luck.
09-23-2005, 09:29 AM
I was going for the 2 y3ar old child, feel! That can walk barely, not to much as a newborn to a one year old! Sorry if the title is misleading. Hope this give better idea of what I am going for, thanx for the comments people!:D
I should have sometihing up by this weekend, holla!
09-23-2005, 11:46 AM
09-24-2005, 07:53 AM
Good luck with your concept Bryce, good modeling sofar, keep up the great work, I will come back to see how it's evolving.
10-03-2005, 08:33 PM
hey man... nice idea... lol... I'll wait to see more:thumbsup:
10-09-2005, 06:18 AM
Sorry guys, had to go make some money and on top of that I am still trying to find reference of a chasis, does n e one know of a website that I can go to, to get some great picks of it?
10-09-2005, 07:31 AM
hey mate, for blueprints on cars, xheck out the following
Regarding the hero thus far, i would say that the skin tone is alittle off putting and doesn't really go with the hair colour.
what software you using..... i know that Swamps has put a really nice Skin texturing tut on his thread, maybe you should check it out.
10-17-2005, 09:40 PM
Nice idea, bryce:) Good luck with your work IŽll see your progress and in 2D too:thumbsup:
10-18-2005, 11:29 AM
nice work on the main character so far B-lo ... back to the backstory: WHy is superbaby lifting a bus? - I know its a simple question, but there are a million answers, and each one will change the way you progress with the other elements of the scene...
(apologies if this is already covered - I'm having to skim-read alot of these chunkier forums :-)
hey there.. i dont i have not been here in a while but i noticed you are still modelling so while that is going on i thought it would be a good time to let you know ... that although i really enjoy the image in general i think that the head of the baby is a bit awkward. by that i mean it is made of 2 shapes a blob at the top and a blob at the bottom it doesnt flow as well as if you where to scale the top of the head down a bit or the bottom of the face either one would work i hope this is making since because i am kind of in class trying to do 100 things at once. i wish i could explain more clearly what i mean but the fact of the matter is that i have no tools to do so... and by that i mean Photoshop or anything like that.
11-05-2005, 05:27 PM
sorry guys I am slacking 30 days Im on it holla, thanks for the support will get to it!
12-03-2005, 06:33 AM
