Hello there.
This is my first sketch. Good luck everyone!!

An old abandoned church is now used for junkies. In one of this days when darkness seems to be all around some rays of light pass through a hole in the wall and hit an old mosaic that project an image in the wall. Its only a few minutes long but enough to keep the shadows of creatures hidding in the dark corners.
The idea is to make it looks like a divine moment.

I think this is a great concept. Would you perhaps have any of the junkies in the church witnessing the 'divine moment'? It could be really nice to contrast the stunning icon on the wall with a down and out almost hidden in the darkness. I'll be following this one; good luck!

ESPETACULAR, FENOMENAL!!! Hehe Grande Rogerio! Congrats on the idea, I think that it if you really play with the light it can make for a powerful, interesting image. One suggestion that might make it more interesting would be if you added some rocks or objects in the path of the light that is being projected of the Christ figure, to break up the image slightly. Would make it less immediately readable, and in so doing bring the viewer into the image so that he will look at the image as a whole, and not only to that colorful spot. If you have a lot of details in the shadow areas, and the lit figure is so clear, the viewer might be temped to not stop and look at the other details, which I think are a major part of your idea. You inspired me to get back to mine, let's finish this one, bro! :)

Hi everybody!!! I'm sorry but I did not post before coz my notebook is dead and my project still inside... anyway, I started to block the church(again!!!) just to see how it goes. The model will become a little more more complex but i'm really trying to keep it as simple as possible. I've been painting some displacement maps and playing with the aproximation nodes a bit.
Promise to update again very soon!!!

Thanks for the posts !

This is to show the displacement maps working, its just a first test but i liked and really wanted to share!! There will be another room on the background and i'm thinking of modelling a stair or something to place the junkie(as David Hunt suggested! thanxxx David!!).

Cool concept and good work so far. However, the displacement map looks like volcanic ash or snow... I would try to be a little more definitive with the rubble. It just looks like random shapes right now.

Hello Gary!!

This is just a preview of the displacement map, I understand what you're saying but this vulcanic look will be gone as soon as i start the texturing work.

Thanks bro!!
