Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I've been really racking my brain trying to think up the perfect idea but I've been going through a bit of a painting block. I'll post something as soon as I think of a good idea to do.

bobby: very funny. i have one point though: would it not make the composition stronger to have the cat a bit higher up in a corner, with the big dog ladder swaying a bit? I can just invision this in life, dogs with their paws smushing each others heads... and all those funny things dogs do but all at the same time getting together for a bit of an unlikely rescue!

Hey Bobby, can't wait to see your entry evolve. Already you've got a great idea with plenty of room to experiment. I was just thinking you could even continue the idea more with the cat (or cats) trying to get to fish... So you've got a chain of spectacular feats.

Ok here's another idea thats been floating around in my head. Very scratchy right now but I wanted to post anyways. When I think of "spectacular" I think of sports. Here's a sketch of a pile of american football players and at the bottom is an out stretched hand that scored the winning touchdown in the most spectacular play in NFL history.

even that I think the dog idea is the most funniest, I dont found it very spectacular... at least from my point of view (I hope that u will finish it anyway :)) so for now my vote goes to the last idea, american football and a touchdown. It looks very cool!

I say go with the touchdown. I dont think there's a sports scene in development yet, so youve got an edge with the idea so far. And it'll be great to see the mixed reactions of the players with that unbelievable touchdown right in front of their faces :thumbsup:

Not to stray off of the subject, but I had a question. Do your various "subway sketch" threads have a story behind them? Do you actually hang out on the subway and sketch people?

If so, do people tirp out on you, or do they even notice?

If not, where do you get your inspiration?

dogs are grea.. but as otehrs have said not that spectacular at present... the undead army idea s a bit cliche, but the football one could be really great... give us some more concepts!
