Excellent Idea - two very different spectacular experiences for the price of one!
Several contributors have noted that the notion of what is spectacular is quite subjective and this solution bypasses any such problems most effectively: If you're not sure what might be spectacular to yourself, or the judges - make sure the scene is spectacular for your characters!.

100%
I love seeing the interpretations, and this idea packs some interesting points of view for the characters involved. Nice work.

Great concept, though the two figures in the lower left seem to me more surprised by the guy across from them screaming than by the giant face. :D

I do feel her eyes should be looking down at the creatures closer to her....at the moment she is looking over them....just a thought.

Man, I really like your job. I just love the details. But one thing. Face of the girl. I'm really sorry to say that but it's awful. You MUST change it because I'd really like you to win! Change her eyes and her mouth. I'm not sure but I think she would look much better with dark eyes. And the mouth... Close them!Or make tham only a bit opened. Now she lookes stupid and very unrealistic. And it should be darker as well. Please draw this face once more. Then the picture will be perfect!
wow this is pretty cool ... very nice rendering on the building structure there
