Well, now you may see the base outline of my piece. And I'm gonna tell a little about the idea.
The last events in the India, Egypt and US showed us how fragile is human's illusion of almighty... Day by day, year by year we are building our Colossus, Colossus of Technology. We continue building it no matter what's the cost. A thousands of humans life? Nevermind! The Nature's health? We'll pay! And even the blood of our planet isn't too expensive...
We are stll sure that this Colossus, this technomonster is powerfull, invincible, and undestructible.
But the Nature has it's own vision on our "power"... Just a one single touch, not even attack or strike, just a touch of Nature's powers and the Colossus is ruined....

This is the base of a coloring, a lot still undefined but the overall impression will look like this. :)
If I'll have enough of time to finish it ...
Great concept, dreat execution! I like your work, so clean and so frighten. Good luck to you ;)

The design and concept are very nice so far. Something else in the scene to help establish scale might be helpful: It's unclear whether this is human-sized or a modern Statue of Libery.
Good luck!

You right of course, I'm thinking about the "anchor" objects which may help to show the size of the Colossus, but a lack of time makes the process much longer :)

I would correct for its left hand in which it holds a torch, while it a curve...
Idea really excellent, but I am afraid that it can not like the some...

Hi antTON. Looks pretty good. Your concept remember me the first books.... "how to make a crome drawing with brush".
Looks promising.
Keep it up.

I didn't have much time in a last month to continue working in my piece, and actually I've already thought that I shall never finish this pic
Well, here we got a final coloring milestone, it is still needs some more texture details and little tweaks here and there, but the most of work is done! :)))

Hi Anton! The very good atmosphere and details! I like your colors! And only one. I think you should do more clear the horizon.
Good luck! :)

rawwad : Thanks a lot! You support is very important for me!
Atris: It is very pleasant to her a such a good comments:bounce:
What do you mean saying more clean horizon? Do you mean the edge between the sky and the ground must be more visible?

Yes, I do. The the edge between the sky and the ground must be visible!

Well, here it is! It's not Ingeniously but I've got a lot of fun creating my piece. It is first time when I'm taking part in contest and it was very-very spectacular :bounce: I'm not quite satisfied with my pic but I've done all I could and I really-really hope that you'll like my guy...
Now time to remind the story

I like the picture and the message, but i think some more details on the planet would've made the image even better, it looks unfinished compared to the colossus.

Gonzalo Golpe: Thanks guys! The words of suuport you spoke are very imortant to me! Good luck to you too!
1541: Glad you liked the story ;))) About the details... I tried to express the huge size of the colossus so the ground should be very-very far and all the small details will be not visible. That's why only the colossus detailed so much. May be you're right and I should create more details on the ground.... Well, anyway I've already send a work so it to late for me :(((

great image but i must say that i think you could of done more with the horizon right now it looks like there is no atmosphere which i think takes awawy from the image. aside that i think it is looking great.

12-02-2005, 05:55 AM
Slav Thanks a lot! Well we have discussed the horizon before with Atris and I've found that making the edge between the sky and the ground more clear is much interesting... But may be I done it clear just too much?
sirBS
12-02-2005, 12:40 PM
Anton, good work! The greater form - society and a greater shadow is only not so well visible. You have too taken a great interest in details. I advise a little to generalize the form...
Slav Thanks a lot! Well we have discussed the horizon before with Atris and I've found that making the edge between the sky and the ground more clear is much interesting... But may be I done it clear just too much?
well i personally think it jumps out at you too much. i think you need a difference of tone with distance. something that is not really evident right now. i think it could help you convey realism a bit more but its up to you.
antTON
12-02-2005, 06:55 PM
Sergey Banityuk Thank you for good words! I'm affraid you're right... behind all these details I've lost the main form  Well, what can I say.... I will pay more attention to this aspect in my futher works. At least I'll try.
Slav In other words you think it is clear too much... Hmmmm... I think I was too hurry when have post the final image :argh: I should wait a few days and spent some time to check everything holding in view all of your advices guys.
Thanks one more time fellows. Your critics is VERY important for me. May be next my piece will be a little bit better :arteest:

Hi Anton! I really like your work! This's looking much better with clouds and horizon!
But only it seems to me the ground must be slightly lighter close to horizon!
Anyway, that's very good job! Congratulations on your final image! I wish you good luck in the next stage! :)
