I like the face! Its pretty cool if you ask me. Definitely not realistic (I assume you were going for a stylized face). So I can't critique it in that sense. But I can say that I like the look.

One thing I would change though is the top back corner of the head looks like it is poking out irregularly.

thanks man for the advice about the ideas flow, youre right.
and not, the sketh doesn't have to be made with pencil, the idea with the milestones is to show the concept of the idea, it doesn't matter, it could be in paper, 3d, picture, anything that shows the principal idea:)

Hi, your concept is nice, although it would be nice to add an environment, an action, and a better and more interesting perspective. About the head, well me myself is still in the stage of mastering organic objects, all I can say it is good start. The head looks stylized but I'm not really sure if that's what you're going for. By the way, may I ask what method of modelling you used? Spline? Poly? Nurbs?

Good luck! You can do it!

Great progress! I'd add an upper eyelid. Yours is either hidden or non-existent... The mouth is WAY too small. The ear needs work too. Outside of that, awesome job! Textures and eyebrows in particular are great!

Hey Carlos,

I like the idea , hopefully the story and background will reinforce the Spectacular idea. The head model is looking okay, I think you could add lips to the face because right now there is no color change from the cheek area to the lips area.

At the bottom of each of your posts where you have links to your M & S entry and your Spectacular entry, the Spectacular entry link you have doesn't work.

I like the head, but the fact that he is missing lips bothers me a bit, adding lips might also help witht eh impression that his mouth is too small.

As far as the concept goes, I think it has a lot of potential. I foresee something with dust and wind in the air. And with the right angles I think you can get that "Silence that you can cut with a knife" sort of feel.

Good luck.

Nice work, I've seen you're other works and this seems to look like the best of them. I agree with the others, put something like a sky or something. The fog is so cool, was that done in 3Ds Max or was it in post compositing? Nice texture on the tank too. Keep up the good work.

Hello Melkao,

Nice, glad you changed the head, it's better this time but I'm not sure if you're done with the shades but it would look a lot better if the shades were more rounded, and the link between the rims of shades and the ear holder seem to be non-existent.

Skin is great. Can you tell me how you did it. Is it misss fastskin? Did you paint the texture by hand? It looks real to me!

Hey Carlos,

The head model is looking good and a very nice job on the hair and skin.. I like the street environment as well maybe you could add a car in the distance. I must say your head model has really improved since the last time I saw it.

Your head looks really good now, especially in the eyes area. Hair is also much better now!
Great athmosphere in the street... it feels chilly. Not much left now - good luck for the final steps!

I'M NOW FINISHING THE IMAGE . HERE I ADDED SOME DETAILS.

monsitj: thanks man....i hope too, but i think that i have enough time for that. but working quikly

gardogg: Well i have a huge gallery of textures, and the texture i use to this model is edited and improved a little in Photoshop. later i apply to the model with the pelt of unwrap, i max 8, just that -a texture edited-

Crying Horn: Thanks man i already done i will add this guy to the escene soon.
mmoir: hey man look at this ....a car in the escene ...thanks for the cool idea.
kreuz: well thats truth. But he will stand in front of the tank...so the details won't be seen, for the perspective.

Gunilla: that was a lot of work....well this is my third head model ever. i know i still need a lot of practice.

thanks guys for the support.

nice one, perhaps more contrast on shadow...;)

angel
11-25-2005, 10:15 PM
yeah, it needs more contrast and I would add some dirt and grime to the yellow sign, it pops too much.

Keep up the good work:beer:

I'm impressed by this latest update. You have done a great job of establishing the mood and it looks pretty realistic. The tank could use quite a bit more geometry detail in my opinion, but that's up to you... Nice work.

Heyaa Melkoa, looking good here... What about a slightly greyer sky? to add more gloom to the feel? Keep going mate, you're nearly there...

Buen trabajo con la ambientación y el modelado del tanque y las construcciones, aunque podría poner un poco más de detalle en texturas o en modelado... suerte!!

this is only a test...is to see where will be the guy..the proportions...lights, shadows and all that...just that. and now i see a few problems in this....you can see them?

Snows: taking the advice....thanks man!

gardogg: well is a great advice but the time is ticking out.

DaddyMack: the background will be the last this that i want to put...so don't worry.

Luks: thanks man!

Maxter: pues en esas ando...estoy buscando que detalles ponerle...gracias!

Yes - a bit tricky. The angle makes him look very big compared to the tank. You might need to scale the tank up quite a lot to make it look scary enough.

Apart from that, I think it's beginning to look very good - almost done now. Feels good, doesn't it?

melkao

you are right man. ihave that problem, is a prespective problem the angle in the camera makes look like the guy is bigger than the tank....i'm fixing that.

thanks:bounce:

the people are tired of the opression of their kings, and they decided to make a riot!.
they doesn't want more wars, and we stop, we are in front of that guy, he is on the tank screaming against the wars and wanting the peace, we don't want more destruction, and death, we want a paceful sleeping without bombs and explosions.
the governors just want power they don't care the people and the planet they only want money, but we are more and we have a motivation. we don't want more bad presidents, we want to give to our children a good future...we want God , the only real good king.......

Well thats the speech of the guy on the tank.....see ya, to the next challenge, and good luck to every body, and thanks for this cool contest.
