View Full Version : Is there a key frame clean script for Max?
strick9 09-07-2005, 08:22 PM Looking for a script where you can delete all unecessary key frames that get keyed during the animation process. Keyframes with no changes basically.

Define "unnecessary".
There's a script here called killanimation that gets rid of all animation for an object, is that what you're after?

how about the reduce keys tool in the curve editor? by tweaking the settings you should be able to get what you need.

This is just brainstorming ,but you can select 3 keys and compare the middle key to the end keys and if they are the same, have it terminated. Then have it run in a loop.n (can become a very BIG loop)
I would write one, but I am not as fluent in "animation scripting"
