Latest Update: Concept Sketch: Boat/ship crash
Hey everyone. When I thought of spectacular, the picture of Moses splitting the sea came straight to mind. Just a concept sketch.

Yeah ! It's a good concept. i like it :)
Just another concept
Great begining! Your concept sketch reminds me one story of Ray Bradberry about one lonely sea dragon, who comes to a lighthouse thinking it`s his fellow... Unfortunatly i don`t know the English name of this literary work, i read it in Russian. :( It`s realy very sad story... Thats why i think it will be great if you add the lighthouse on the hill.

first one remainds me a bit of abyss, love that idea too, anyway great work,
good luck dude
I can't wait to see a more in depth color study
Just a really quick sketch. This will be my final concept. Basically a fishing boat is doing its business, catching fish, when out of the fog a large ship appears. The perspective will not be as shown in the sketch. I will try and make the ship seems as large as possible. Perhaps I will view it from the fisher-man's perspective.

great sketches... I like the 'sea storm'...

I think youre right, you should take the perspective to near the bottom of the hull looking up, and have the hapless fishermen doing all they can to get out of the way, or perhaps staring in disbeleif and wondering how such a hulking ship sneaked up on them.
