Perfect design... you follow you way without probs mate... always very beautiful and interesting details master
10-25-2005, 01:53 PM
You have designed a photorealistic character. But what of the story? Or is the focus just on the character and the hours of detail that you've poured in?
If so then You may want to put some thought into the enviroment that you are going to put him in. Since the detail level is so high, in order to maintain the illusion of reality the surroundings will need at least some of the same level.
because the figure can't fill the whole image.. there will be negative space.
BTW I'll be watching
10-25-2005, 10:35 PM

11-11-2005, 12:28 AM
Awsome, awsome work. I really liked your machineflesh entry, looks like your technical skills have improved even more since then.
I'm hoping that this time you put some kind of environment into the background, just something simple like part of a wall or pillar, some sky, and some glare from the sun would be enough to lift this up to the next level.
11-11-2005, 08:53 AM
voilà and entry missed until now...
Udom, I'm very imrpessed about the fantastic design that you have in your figure. Details, texture and modelling bring your figure to a excellent level. Congrats ! I can just watching with interest...

Wow:eek: , your model and texture is really impressive, very beautiful work:thumbsup:
Hello, I really like your modeling and character design. only 2 things I wanted to point it out is that spiral graphic is little bit too busy and it might take away from your beautiful model. second thing could be your posing but I know is not completely finish yet. That's just only my opinion hope you don't mine :)
All pass render and final render character.
11-17-2005, 10:54 PM
Very impressive! Nice pose, and i love the circular dynamic caused by those swords.
This is gonna look ace when complete!
11-18-2005, 06:10 AM
excellent style, I think the background works very well...
thanks for sharing your render passes
11-18-2005, 07:52 AM
Hi Tuck! Great idea - I like it's celtic-like style :) -What concerns me is that sword. It looks as if it were 3 knives welded together -it doesn't look too solid.Wouldn't it brake into pieces after hard atack ? But it's just my opinion
keep up the good work :)
11-18-2005, 08:08 AM
-it doesn't look too solid.Wouldn't it brake into pieces after hard atack ?
You don't know the "magical thaï mystic power" man ? :scream: hahahaha I've the chance to meet their art and philosophy... and I particuly feel that with Udom's entry... great stuff here

11-25-2005, 03:58 PM
Looks Great, the background is a little distracting, maybe try dulling down some of the minor curves in brightness to make your character stand out more
11-25-2005, 04:39 PM
Wow!!:eek: That is just wonderful!
11-25-2005, 07:12 PM

I love your style really original and beautiful!
I add the stars in my image.
11-27-2005, 12:05 PM
Awsome, though like momentum I think that the background is a bit distracting because it has the same kind of contrast and colour range as the figure. I think it would look better if the background had a different tint to the figure, or less contrast, just to give the image some more definition between the figure and the background.
11-27-2005, 02:47 PM
11-27-2005, 07:11 PM
 :applause:

This is so cool. I love the armor design. Great blend of tech with almost aztec mayan influences. Really really nice. No crits, just wanted to say that it looks great.

Such a great and original work you did there mate. :) Your style is unique. Wish you the best till the end of this piece (which shouldn't be that far now)

Perhaps you could make the image a bit more powerful by doing a bit of post work. Here are most of the cheap, dirty tricks that I like to do in photoshop (or digital fusion, afer effects, whatever):
-Overlay a gradient ontop of the image. A gradient from black to white can give an image an axis, a sense of movement, and it can draw the viewers focus to part of the image. a coloured gradient (eg. orange to blue/green) can do the same, and also can add a richness to the colour.
-Blur the image, then overlay or screen it over the un-blured image. This just gives a soft look, and a glowing bloom around the highlights. It often works best if you turn up the contrast before blurring, somethimes a directional blur can work quite nicely.
-Adjust the color curves;in photoshop go to image, adjustments, curves. Change the channel to red, green, or blue, and adjust the shape of the curve until you get something interesting. This can give a nice overall tint, or a tint to the shadows that contrasts with the tint of the highlights.
-Its often works nicely to give an image an overall tint (eg.greenish/blue), then contrast it with a hint of the opposite (redish/orange).
I'm not sure if any of that will actually help you, but I thought I'd suggest it anyway. Its a sweet image that deserves all the polishing it can get.
Many many thank everyone.
for the encouragement and good comment.
gipetch: Thanks you very much for good comment.and i will to consider.

Great final image  your design is awesome
Good luck in the final vote :bounce:
I impressed in one character of Thai fiction 'Ramayana',was named 'Hanuman'.In the story,Hanuman was an important and
closed general who faught side by side Phra Rama, who is the prince of the human tribe in the war with the giant tribe.
Hanuman came from the ape tribe. He had a talent(Transform his scale to be the large size) and be friendly.
He was the most clever and powerful so he would be the best general of Phra Rama.
Concept of character design:
In Thailand, mostly people khow Hanuman as a sign of intelligence and loyalty. So I design Hanuman to be a hero who fight the demons
His weapon is the couple of swords which get the magnectic power of the universe to destroy the enemies.
Concept of image:
This pose,Hanuman is swaying his swords and charging the magnectic power of the universe into the swords.
