Here is my 3D Idea.

It is a giant tortoise roaming through the suburbs. Crushing a car and being stopped by a little kid with a carret.
I am going to use some Z Brush on it, but I have never used it. SO it will be some challenge.

Hey James,

A giant tortoise wandering throught the burbs sounds like a great idea, at least the pedestrians will be able to get away from this slow moving beast.:) I think your concept needs some objects in the foreground but I am sure you are aware of this and I look forward to your modeling of the scene

Add some sci-fi elements to scene and make whole atmosphere like in Godzilla (japaneeze version). And it's gonna be real cool.

Good luck, mate.

mmoir,

Thanks for Stopping By. I am thinking of changing the camera angle a little bit. and maybe put some more people in it.

suk-grigorij,
I am not sure what element to use. I was thinking of some sort of storm or something

This is just a test on light and texture. I do got some tiling I need to get rid of. and some nasty artifacting.

Anyone know were I can get blueprints of ordinary cars not race cars or sports cars?

Hey James,

The houses look very nice as do the textures:thumbsup: , although there are some issues with the models and the textures. You don't seem to have soffits and Fascia going around the entire houses, some areas do have the soffit and fascia where others don't . Also the shingles over the Bay window in the bottom picture , the shingles over the side window of the bay window isn't shown correctly, it has the wrong perspective to it.

try these for blueprints...

http://blueprints.onnovanbraam.com/

I couldn't find the specific car I was looking for but might have better luck, plenty sedans, coupes, vans, etc.

BTW the bricks seem too small to me.

I almost got he lighting to were I want it. The shadows need more work, but it is only 2 passes. I haven't had much time to work on it. But I will put some midnight oil on it this week.

Thanks everyone for the feed back.

The Tortoise will be saved for last until I am better at the Z Brush. Unless any one knows super fast way to learn it.

I was thinking some toxic sludge, but it sounds too cliche.

Zbrush really isn't that hard to use. Just make a low poly turtle in your 3d app and import it into zbrush. I think you can do all of the zbrushing by just turning on the edit button and using the standard brush to sculpt. That is my beginners tutorial for you! Ha ha. I think you will be fine on the turtle but you've got to go go go! Time's ticking!

Hi James,

I like your idea with the tortoise. The camera angle is nice. The model of your cadillac looks really good. But I think the houses are too clean. Try to weather them a little bit (like moss on the cutters or dirt running down from the shingles after the last rain).
