This is kind of surreal. There's some weird stuff going on! However, it looks like a good start and I think you could create something interesting and definitely spectacular out of it. Push forward!

ya thanx for the crit
not really going for sureal so much but should look good
sorry just ignore the double post.
gonna try and make it a dark sunset type thing with clouds in the background. inpiration is kind of coming from alot of spielburgs work like independence day and war of the worlds.
this will be my first major piece done digitally though so lets see how i go.
may not have heaps of time to get work done in the next few weeks cos i have some exams but i look forward to getting my comp entry underway.

I think the topic could work out pretty well for this challenge. My suggestion would be to try to avoid a perfectly square composition; they always seem more static than rectangles. Good luck.

what do you mean square composition?just the background elements in the sky in comparison to the forground or what?
well thanx anyway
i may change things slightly but thats pretty much the way i will set it out.
only things i think i will change is maybe show more of the cat tank thing on the right and maybe add some more planes etc and a feww more explosions for some action.
i will try and get the line art done for you guys soon so you can coment on it
could be a while though.
once again thanx for the crit and good luck.
