Hi Authentic,
I agree with Ognus, at the moment it looks fine, but too rough and loose to be commented. If you would clean up the lines and make the picture more developed, then we can start to comment more

I know you can't comment for the moment. It was a message for the whole thread that is beginning. :)
A first progress :

try and keep the sleaves the same length. Think symmetry. unless you want it to look longer sort of like a little vagabond or orphan.
I really like the small feet.
Reminds me thus far of time burtons animations. if you want inspiration from what i feel is a similiar look, go search tim burtons james and the giant peach, or the new game psychonauts.
the sketches looks great, characters are sweet indeed.
now lets see them coloured :)

Well. I'm now pretty happy of the boy but I got many difficulties with the girl. I like her head but the body is just awful. Moreover, he doesn't seem to be in perspective with the boy. Maybe problem with shoulders or feet. DOn't really know and don't success to change it.
So I wait for crtics to resolve the problem.

i love it man, just clean up the lines/edges, make them smoother a bit?
you should also play around with texturing the different clothing/parts at the end. how about adding some very cool shading/lighting?
