Hi,
I am working on visualisation of a room.
A did some renders using few lights, one mr Omni light nad few mr Target Spot Lights.
You can see some strange yellow spots on the walls.
Could you please tell me how to get rid of them?

It seems that you are having a photon issue there.. are you using GI?

Try messing with the photons' radius.. there was a tutorial that came with max I think that covers this. It was on caustics but it works the same way with GI.

Hey,

Well, it looks as if MR is rendering the photon map. I've tried to find a logical solution, but sometimes i just merge files to get rid of anything bad or evil (:O) and then it sometimes works. You might want to go to the light that you think is causing the problem, scroll down to Indirect Illumination rollout, and mess with settings there (it's either Indirect Illumination or the other MR rollouts at the bottom of the lighting setup).

Hey pierzak,

Considering the scene you posted, it looks like you are trying to light a room that requires a lot of indirect illumination (just a few direct lights and lots of bounced lighting) by using FinalGather only. Usually in a situation like yours you will be better off using both GI and FinalGather. Try to first turn off FG and enable GI. Now play with your GI settings (try increasing the number of photons) when you're kind of happy, enable FG and play with its settings.

Hope this helps.

okay, in my view (regarding to the pic) its like mentioned by rockin,
its an Gi sample radius issue, but you saif that you dont use GI...very strange....!

Also post your scene unit and some more specific info about your scene at all.

Try always to get a good result !only! with GI, after that use the FG function in order to smooth the scene and get the final look.

Nevertheless ,the little spots (left of the brown door , or what that is) are confusing me a little bit...

For a better help i need more specif info...
