hey guys.. i just downloaded the dot xsi exchange for maya.. and i cant install teh damn thing..

basically, in the installation instructions, this is one of the steps:

Step 4. Create the plugin

Open a command prompt

Change directory to the dotXSI4Maya3.0ToLink or dotXSI4Maya4.0ToLink
folder

Run the makefile: nmake -f makefile.mak

This will create dotXSI4Maya.mll directly inside your maya plug-in
directory.

now, the main problem is this line 4: "Run the makefile: nmake -f makefile.mak"

im told i need to have some c++ compiling software installed to be able to do this?

i was wondering if someone would be nice enough to just send me the dotXSI4Maya.mll

any other suggestions would be appreciated..

Don't bother with trying to link the pugin. Just download the linked version. :) I've got links to it here: http://www.edharriss.com/xsi/tools/tools.htm
