Playing around with an idea: Two desert tribe in fierce battle with each other, when suddenly their god takes mercy on them and send something that they have never seen before...rain. As the rain falls on the desert for the first time, the battle comes to a halt.
I don't like this angle though. You can't see the expression on the warrior's face, or anything going on around him. Plus, its a really tough angle. I like the idea though...

Still playing with the rain idea. Think I'll go work on some more/different ideas

do a landscape, maybe have people looking off the cliff or maybe have it rain in the Sahara Desert! I like the Idea, now make it spectacular, holla and good Luck!
I like you concept. There is something biblical in your scetch. Keep on and good luck!

trying to work out the layout for this. I seem to be hung up on this one idea...and I don't know if it is spectacular enough...

Messing around with color schemes. I think I've gotten my heart set on this concept. We'll see.
Good luck csgirl, I like the first colorstudy.
Nice concept so far. I like the first colorstudy too. Good luck csgirl :)

I just wasn't happy with my first concept, so I went back to the drawing board, and I think I've come up with an idea that I really love. It will involve a young child (girl) discovering something spectacular, maybe something that all the adults around her missed because they have grown up a become so jaded and cynical.

This is really sweet. I thought of something simular to this too. I'm looking forward to seeing your progression through this idea.
Great work so far good luck :)

09-18-2005, 06:14 AM

Worked on her face a little bit, and now she doesn't look so freaky. I think I'll keep the lighting

starting on the actual picture

I redid the lines of her face, she was looking way to cartoonish. I want to do with a more realistic look.

Hi Csgirl. I see some potential in your idea... but you must to think, something really spectacular for inner of the glass ball.
10-04-2005, 11:23 PM
definetly the second face looks less freaky, hehehe...
I could suggest to make the bowl bigger... and maybe to cover more part of her face, like she's more behind instead of above, but it looks good anyway

Hi csgirl, Great idea! I also quite liked the one of the girl in the garden but the snowglobe version is different and cool.
I think her face is coming along quite nicely and I like the second one too though maybe some teeth should be showing? I think you could do something really great with strong lighting shining from the snowglobe onto her face... maybe even introduce some other lighting colours rather than just the white.
I think she's cute already and I do like her expression. Her eyes say it all! Nice job there. Good luck :)

Thanks! Ya, I want the picture to be very bright and colorful. The globe will certainly be casting a lot of light on her face.

Finally got back to work on it. I love how her face and personality are turning out. Long ways to go yet.
