Animus Alloy is a fan film. A fan film solely based upon what Battletech has become over the past 20 years. Everything from the mechs to the manufacturers and the cities they are built in. Right down to the little people we see running in the streets terrorized by the site of a 40 foot tall walking machine, all with the power to turn a city into the ground.
That said the goal of this project is to bring you, the Battletech fan base, a short but enjoyable film that will hopefully change the way some of us look at the future of Battletech; hopefully inspiring some big wigs to entrust money in creating a full length Battletech film for us all to embrace for decades to come.
Many of us working on this project already are in fact not professionals at all but merely students in collage or nothing more then artists with dreams to work in the film, 2D/3D industries. What this project offers us is a chance to build up a demo reel that we may use to help us make that dream a reality some day. This project benefits us all you see.
Again we are looking for artists that are willing to help on this project. Artists that can benefit from the objectives stated above.
Some of the positions we are currently looking to fill are:
2D Supervisor/Coordinator - in charge of supervising the 2D image based department. Scheduling, Delegating, etc. Should have some management skills and an understanding of hand drawn art, including concept art and matte painting, as well as have a sense of film production
3D Supervisor/Coordinator - in charge of supervising the 3D modeling and animation based department. Scheduling, Delegating, etc. Should have some management skills and an understanding of 3D modeling concepts, texturing concepts and animation as well as have a sense of film production
Matte Painting Artist - interested in creating background matte painting for scenes in the film. Must have a high understanding of 2D drawing skills.
Modeling Lead - in charge of modeling high detail models for the film as well as coordinating tasks between other 3D modelers. Must have a high understanding of 2D modeling including an eye for detail and some management skills.
Writer - we need a writer or two to work on back stories leading up to the film itself as well as help on the screenplay and PR materials.
Concept Artists - 2D artists to design objects to be placed into the sets of the film such as buildings, cars, signs etc. Must have a fair understanding of 2d image drawing and concept design creation.
3D modeler - we need 3D modelers to model the many 3D elements of the film from buildings, cars, signs, complete sets etc. Must have good 3D modeling skills and an eye for detail.
All positions above are not on location positions and are open to people from all over the world as long as they have good long distance communication skills and speak English well. As well as they should have all the computer skills to communicate their ideas and art across to others.
If interesting in applying for one of the positions above please send an email to Etomthnu_Telos@hotmail.com stating the position you wish to apply for, your name, age, and additional contact information. You also may include any works of art or history of needed skills required for that position.
Thanks again for all who continue to support this project.
Hope to see you all on the forums!
