Definitely toss any feedback or ideas, or if you think something is... ahem ... crap. :surprised
-ps-I've still got to time the acting with a stopwatch but I think I have to cut the trash can part to fit within 15 seconds.

I had camera cuts and that bit was too long so I did this one. I have to do a couple character sketches and build them but it shouldn't take long.

wasn't too happy with that last storyboard either so I have another idea I am going with. I'll post a storyboard soon.
Here's the character for it:

heheh.. I like your character. He reminds of those little punk freak pygmy things that run around and twitch and foam and stuff in that game Alice ... but nobody ever seems to remember them :surprised

Good to see ya in Eric. Cool character btw.

somlor-thanks. I know which guys you mean. I'd guess John's the breadwinner in the family while they just crawl around. I might have to fatten him up a bit so his limbs will be visible at 320x240.
rendermonkey23-thanks. Glad you like him!
Here's a revised storyboard (http://ejm.cc/images/cgtalk/nov_challenge/storyboards_r3.gif)

I'm just working on his key poses and timing. Please let me know if you have any crits or suggestions. Not really any inbetweens yet.

I just added some in-betweens. The last couple seconds I decided to act out differently so they are extra ugly. That'll change though. Please let me know if you have any crits and suggestions.
Second go, 2.5MB zipped QT (http://www.ejm.cc/mov/cgtalk/nov/john_awfice_r2.zip)

I like the character, but I can't really tell what's going on with the animation. Obviously the guy pees himself, but other than walking up to the urinal I can't figure out what he's doing. Is his zipper stuck? Is the urinal broken? I think the blocking needs to be much clearer to be read well.
Let's see the next version!

Late but done!
Animation: 831k Divx (http://ejm.cc/mov/cgtalk/nov/john_awfice_r3.avi)
Animation: 2.1MB QT (http://ejm.cc/mov/cgtalk/nov/john_awfice_r3.mov)
If anyone has some time to give some crits or comments, please do. I'm much more interested in feedback than the contest part. I'll be doing the same.
I redid this from scratch so hopefully it's reading better.
Congrats to everyone that finished on time!
