Haha okay so top picture we have Corpse Bride poster which I accidently kicked off the wall (don't ask) and can't be bothered to hang up again, the trusty ipod, dvds, random stickers I plaster all over my case...
Below, my arm (taking screengrab from webcam heh), anciently embarrasing phone...I still haven't saved up for that second screen >_< going back to one just is evil. I'd only just bought my second one too, hah.

This reminds me of a funny story...and will tell you how non~Asian I am...:scream:
In college I had a funny Japanese friend (funny haha, not funny, WooWoo) :scream: who tried to teach me how to make sushi...well, I took what I remembered back home with me to my mom, and she and I proceeded to try to make sushi. Well, I had remembered my friend saying to use as MUCH rice as possible and not as LITTLE rice as possible :scream: so needless to say we ended up with sushi snowmen instead of nice little normal sushis like you're supposed to have! :scream: :scream: :scream:
Needless to say...we enjoyed our sushi snowmen...I wish I had pictures! :scream:

Ah yes, today is the "start learning ZB day" :bounce:

Probably. I also think it might get bigger to better attach the fillings to the teeth but have no actual proof of that yet :)
Sabrina - I hope you get a wacom! And I might start an anatomy thread here too - if inner body anatomy with ZB counts? Rebecca, would that be a good idea? It's a good way to get motivated - spamming and working at the same time :)

Zapan, we have the following thread here on the Anat Forum just for you! :)
3D DIGITAL ARTISTS (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=257442)
http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=257442
While we are in the 2D WIP Section here, the Forum is open to any media in 2D or 3D. Steven Stahlberg posed a 3D model for the first Open Figure Drawing Workshop ~ theoretically, people can post 3D work to any of the threads here ~ it's just that most 3D folks post in the above 3D Digital Artists thread. :)
I can't give advice with modeling, but I do do drawovers to correct anatomy.
Additionally, we have this 3D related thread:
Orthographic Drawings - 2D TRADITIONAL / DIGITAL Drawings For 3D Modeling (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=258842&highlight=Orthographic)
http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=258842&highlight=Orthographic
Definitely check these out! :)
Also, you could always start your own Anatomy Thread of Zapan, to which you are welcome to post 3D work. :)

Zapan and Gunilla,
Maybe I could get your advice on this...it would be nice if there were some sort of link back and forth to the WIP / Critique 3D Stills section, as it would be great if others besides just me replied to the 3D Artists / Orthographic Drawings threads here on the Anatomy Forum. Particularly as with the upcoming book project, I am going to have my hands full for several months to come...the Anatomy Forum is of course a top priority for me, but I will have to cut back a bit on heh, spamming, but also I may not be able to reply to most posts as I like to try to do within a short time frame. Given that, it would be nice to have a link to the 3D Stills section so that you guys could get useful feedback from both the 2D and the 3D perspective (no pun intended). :D
Any thoughts? :)
Cheers,

Rebecca - Wouldn't it be a good idea to have the anatomy section one step up in hierarchy? So it would not be placed under either 2d or 3d? Maybe more people would find their way here then. I understand completely the need for more and others to give comments beside you, you're doing a massive amount of work in this place
And I really like the way it is now, when people have their own threads for various tests and finished stuff + the threads for the assignments. In the personal threads there shouldn't be a problem to mix 2d and 3d as long as it's anatomy related, and it seems like others post really good comments there too.
Yep, this seems like a very fruitful environment to reside in :)

These are really great comments, Gunnie, thank you. :) And thanks for the kind words. :) I have thought about that, and there are pros and cons. On the one hand, the sheltered little environment here I think in some way encourages some of our more shy members / folks who are beginners, to post, which I always want to encourage. I think this forum suffers less from some of the flame wars etc. that go on in other forums, because the people on this forum had to find it, and are thus not just trawling through and posting random, negative comments.
Having said that, I think that having the Anatomy Forum one level up would indeed give incentive for more 3D artists to regularly post work and comment on other 3D Artists' work, which is something that I would LOVE to see happen.
What are your guys' thoughts on this?
Cheers, :)

Exactly !!
I think the anatomy forum is related to both 2D and 3d , no contest. I have been around the 3d still for a long time now , and lot of people there are posting anat research , just to improve their anat knowledge, and I honestly think that , if the anat forum would be on the main page , people will be more involved to post their own anat test and stuff and post some crits to help others ( which it could be good for our Rebecca's health) . One thing is sure , I would love to see some quick tests modeling , like body parts , mostly hard to get right like hands or nose etc... and I'm sur it would be really great to post that in an individual thread study, in the middle of both 2d and 3d artists to get ANAT crits and not only technical prob.
Don't know if what I'm typing makes sense ...

Just make a fake subforum on the 3D side for starters. The heading txt would be
a link to the existing anatomy forums. You could add in there a "3D only" thread
and to make it easier to find you could have it a slightly different color than the
other threads and make it a sticky.

I think this does make a lot of sense...I will talk to the head honchos and get their take on it. Revenge ? certainly not... this pic is so beautiful... I'm very horored too...

Beckie -> not here to participate to the previous talk... just discover the new place for the subforum... and it's very better... as you know... in all these english tittle of threads, I'm always lost... I don't understand quiskly the english... and each time, if I don't have bookmarked the good forum... I must used a notification link, or search for a long time... :scream:

Lolo,
Do you think it's a better idea to move the entire forum, or to just create a link in the 3D Stills Forum? I'd like to know your opinion on this, and reasons why. :)
Cheers, :)

The main interest is to find this forum more easily... by example, it need me lot of time to really understand the exact place of the subforum... why ? I'm not always completly nut... but I always come quickly... and I prefer thinking about our passion than the real technical used of the forum... that must be fast and simple to find... link can be a solution, to help... but if this forum change of place, that can be of course better...
just personal thoughts... I can understand that other people find their way here easyer than me... the french nut...

Morning everybody !!
@ Laurent : Morning Laurent , what do I read , another fight with your boss , doesn't sound good ... for him ... I've got some smiley support for you :

@ Rebecca : I would say, it would make more sense to not see Anatomy forum as a part of 2D or 3D categories , so mainly if the forum would be on the main page , nobody would think that it belongs to a specfic Wip/critic as me in first... besides of course it would be more visible....

Good morning everyone! :)
Rebecca - I think Squibbits suggestion of linking from 3d WIP could work well - that way it would be a subforum of both places and not so easy to find by trolls. The main thing, as I see it, it that it doesn't need to be specific of any special technique or software - I mean anatomy is the same in both 2d and 3d, right? And the more tech specific issues could be easily dealt with in other part of the forums, ex "How would I model an ear in MAX" would be better asked in the modeling forum but "What general shapes should an ear have" would be better off in here... does that sound clear?
Laurent - Arrgh! Boss fight again! My wishes are with you - may you nail him to the ground!
And I agree with you on difficulties to find the way - I would never have found this without your recommendations
Teun - Hey there, how fun - you look so much like your avatar, very nice :)
Zapan - smileyspam... I never thought the day would come when you would be lost for words :D
I wish everyone a good day as I dive into another set of ZB tutorials :wavey:
also I may not be able to reply to most posts as I like to try to do within a short time frame.
...erm hang on... does that actually mean you won't reply within seconds of one's post any longer? Does that mean there is a slight change we would have to actually wait for a reply in future?
So, I mean, like in the other forums on the net?
Where you post something and so much time passes you actually feel the wait set in - as opposed to catching yourself not hitting the "new thread" or "post reply" button, because you find your exact question psychically replied to on another (and previous) occasion?
Or you take the time to reread your post, spell-edit it and find rebecca's reply impacted in fiery letters, herself long since gone to reply somewhere else...
Is that what your are saying?
Ok, alright then... intolerable...
*signs out*

Concerning the forum, new one or moving it around - for me it's like Laurent said : we must only find it without long searching...may be some linking in the 3d section is enough and let the people know, that they are welcome...like Zapan said "sometimes feeling like an UFO" in the 2d threads...We are not all little Lemogs, who can switch from 3d to 2d without problems...

I finished the 3 last scenes this night... and now, remain me the week-end to render these latest scenes... and monday very early... video assembly of all for a projection at 9:00  ...
I will hope anyway to be with the family during this christmas week-end... :)

meet them, feed them a headache pill and club them unconscious.

hunny,
this would rock so much it's not even funny.
In other words: I would love it - sounds like an open university rather than a bulletin board!
And, spiritually speaking, once you make room for things the events will fill up the space you reserved, i.e., participation will grow exponentially and everyone's benefit will be a dream.
*fingers crossed*

Mr. Mu,
LOL ~ thanks!! :)
Most of those threads exist already, they're just in a big jumble.
Here is an older link page I created - it's not completely up to date, but it has links to older threads like the ones listed above.
Forum Links - Find Threads Fast!
http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=258280&highlight=studies
I linked this in the Sticky Links (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=273525&page=1&pp=15) thread (last post) as well.
Cheers, :)
~Rebeccak
Rebecca,
I bookmarked the internal "Find links fast" and other indexes of this forum long ago.
What I am referring to is the following principle.
My beloved-ones father is a teacher of a certain form of meditational/therapeutical dance.
He rented a small room, handed out his ad-flyers and waited for participants. Soon he had a bunch (just a fistful) of regular attendants.
Then he got an offer to rent a bigger room. He was thinking about how he would be able to afford this considering that he did not have enough students for it. But then he thought: "Well, I should not wait for more people to be able to rent a bigger room - I should rent the bigger room, so more people can come in the first place"
And that was exactly the way it happened. Luck is when occasion meets preparation.
So, I was looking forward to the chance of leveling this whole thing up - would be so exciting and a good form of recognition for you.
See?
Rebeccak

Mr. Mu,
Thank you!! :) I am chuckling because this reminds me of a scene in the movie about Bruce Lee's life where he has a small studio with a few students / cut to scene with more students / cut to scene with studio overflowing with students / cue emotional music. :scream: So true though, and I see exactly what you mean. :)
Cheers, :)
