• Under the vast loneliness in the ocean of time of the Third heaven, when Humanity as a beautiful Form of the creation has grown into their own proudness and technology promises new ways to overcome their needs, have we forget what we really are? shall we walk forever with our closed eyes until we realize that is ourselfs what we are looking for?...what we should become?

• The skull of an uncertain weapon simbolized by the instrument who gave us the skies. Will it give us the power we need or will it die in our hands?

• I know it sounds extrange, this are my first 2 sketchs and 2 more after this post, the idea came to me long ago, but until yesterday it was only a ghost in my head, I gave my drawins the look of old paper draws, but i really finished them a couple of minutes ago, i thought it would give'em a little bit the feeling of a creepie mean, i hope you find it interesting. c&c are of course welcome

DUDE! I found you friend, always glad to see you here again! Hopefully I can follow you all the way to the finish line this time.

The concept you got is really cool mate, but I fear it might not work well for our spectacular theme this time around. The elements in the scene are really well thought out, perhaps some disaster in the bg like a raging fire could help make it more spectacular?

Cheers mate, i should probably start sketching...

Hey Omar,

You plane model is looking excellent, great idea. In your concept you had some windows visible on the planes midsection which I thought looked great , any chance of adding a couple of windows. Also, I think if you curved the spine in the middle of the airplane down it could glive the plane a more defeated look, just a thought. Good luck with this .

Great models so far. But I'm a bit confused, what does the cactuc and the plane have to do with each other? Or are you just modeling elements and puttign them together later on. I'm sorry if you mentioned it before, my brain hasn't been working lately:p .

Explanation

In the last century human kind has unveiled that technology is the future of our race and therefore has created machines and developeded the necesary tools for creating and developping that idea, My image is kind of an allegory , a symbolism of this,

The plane:
means one of the most significant advances of human kind even now, and it is changing to get each time better, it is evolutionating and that's the reason of it's fosil creature look, since it "gave us control" of the sky, we grown proud that we could go as far as we wanted to go, not speaking of distance but our limits altering our way of living.
The Desert:
Means our time here on earth but also the uncertain limit of our goals in the universe, at first look it seems to be a place where no living creatures should be, but as you know it is much more populated than we can "see"
The Spirit (Woman):
Means The humand race itself (That's why: "she has no name and all of them at the same time") and is a representation of fertility and beauty of the whole creation, it walks sure of herself in the belief that everything can be solved at her steps, but naive and stuborn she doesn't look inside of her, "she" does not realize that the most precious gift of creation is her presence here...What are we?...where we come from?....where are we going? all those answers may be inside of ourselfs.
The Cactus:
Means the nature and other living creatures we asume inferiors and thus we consume or distroy in our way, burning forest to sell the wood or create bigger cities or anything else we may stupidly justify as progress, the ecosystem is the most important organ of our living planet, if we "kill" it, we kill the planet, we kill ourselfs. The cactus is mechanical in my image because someday when we run out of resources, we will try to emulate producing sintetical replacement for plants or animals but it may not be the same anymore
The Balls:
They mean our way into ourselfs partially buried, but not lost at all, each of them may be a spiritual level not reached yet, so they are precious stones wich we should exhume to clean and polish, no religions, no massive manipulations, only the true.

• Greentek: Thanks buddy! I know is a bit deep, i just wanted to do something diferent, I am glad u like it
• The Parrot:
The explanation sounded a bit out of my tasterange, though. Thanks, haha, i see your point, the explanation is a bit unnessesary, the image should speak for itself and further details are too much 'cuz they limit the magic of imagination, anyway we are all here to create and express ourselfs having fun doing what we like, that's all this thing is about, you are right philosophic meaning is boring and out of place, when i was thinking what to do for the challenge after many ideas i had in mind, i decided for this 'cuz i thought it would be cool to do an unexpected way of seeing a plane and justifing what we do is like trying to explain ourselfs why we do it :scream:
• Eddieellis: Thanks Eddie, i hope i can do it ok at the end

interesting concept Climax, my only concern is the metal cactus, looks a bit carttoney but it could be because of the lack of textures. Keep going!

watch how you go mate... , good luck with the challenege..
The women looks good so far : albeit, the breats do look rather strange, almost as if they are not attached in the right way and dont fall properly.

The lips also look strange, too wide for the rest of the face, same slightly with the eyes. Its importantto subtleise any features on female characters, and i think she is a little 'hard' right now.

Just go and try it out!
Goodluck!

Only small crit is on the chest where the breasts join across the model. I think you just need to lose that sight crease at the bottom of the chest allowing the breasts to look a bit more natural.

• Lemog: Yeah, we gotta make a balance between work and family, For us who work all the time in front of the computer, sure i know it is dificult, sometimes we don't even realize how much time we spend, and then sudenly the night comes and then another day, sometimes there is no choice because of resposibilities of work and sometimes our "artist" insctint of learn and create things, I 've had serious troubles with my family and that's the reason i am also learning to find the harmony between work and home, we are humans and we use to learn from our mistakes to start looking for the way they don't happen again:shrug: thanks God there are important things that when discovered at time can be solved with patience and good actions, I thank you for your concern even if i was only making fun, but it is good that people can hear and lean from the bad experiences others went through, Cheers to you my good friend!

hey mate the breasts look much better now they are further apart... good job.

Regarding the size, at the end of the day they come in all shapes and sizes as you well know, making them bigger will probably make allot of people happy, but at the end of the day it personal preference. so its up to you do you want to go down the Lara Croft route and make people happy or use your own size and not conform to poeples idea's of 3d vitual babes.

In my opinion i would say break from the norm and do something original and not increase the breast size...... But like i said to you its all down to personal preferance.

That's a good model, the shape of the torso is really nice.

The jaw is very heavily set and her neck is quite thick - I think that's making her look a bit manly. Also (and I know you've already had loads of advice on them so i'll keep it short) I think her breasts could do with being a bit more pert - maybe point the nipples a bit more towards the sky...

Good skills

So true, however no-one has natural breasts that have a flat base like that ;) If I saw a girl with breasts that looked the ridged (sp?) I'd be very afraid. Seeing as how girls usually dont have them made out of plastic :)

i think the neck grows too wide on the lower part. that makes her look strange, in some way masculine. i also prefer the brunette version, and i think that otherwise it's great.

Omar, this is one of the most entertaining threads I've seen so far. Really great concept and awesome modeling so far, Congratulations! Wishing u all the best :) Nothing to crit so far... and so much have been said about the 'woman' already. • Hi guys!, well here is a perspective view of the bird, sorry for my delay, I've had lots of work to do and no time for the challenge :( but i am back with a little update, i hope u like it, please feel free to c&c
I have to find a way when compositing 'cuz the bones should be spreaded on the ground and not together as you see it now, i will have to position the parts in an understable way so it look like it is a plane :P
Hope you find it interesting!

• A little test of how could the plane be lying, as i said before i was afraid that if i unalocate the bones all over the place it would look more like a dinosor than an aircraft, but this is only a test, please tell me how do it looks for you. thanks for comming! :D

Lemog
11-18-2005, 08:32 AM
I find that very good of course... but I ask myself if it's not a prob that all these bones are spread too much... of course, we know all that your concept is a real bones airplane... but imagine another guy who discover your pic... can he imagine really the concept... just a thought...

...in other hand... the compo is really pleasant and beautiful... but maybe less spreaded for it...

I want to first thanks all great people who has take his time to come and see my thread, sorry if i couln't reply to everyone, I've had lot of work in the last 2 monts and very little for the challenge, I hope next week i'll be full time to finish my image

• SONIC-X: Thanks pal I am glad you find it interesting!

• Lemog: Yeah, u are right! it is a little bit complicated to find an understable way of allocating all those bones, in one side, they cannot be too spreaded because it would look like something else, and by the other side without the "flesh" bones cannot be joined togheter, and even the point of view of the camera will be much lower than this last post and also the "plane" won't be in the first plane, so i have to make several test until i find the best way to make the idea more readable :wip:

• Madlight_1988: Thanks buddy and stay tune, i will post soon some updates showing the first attempts to final composition :)

• Gunilla: Thanks Gunilla, I'm glad you like the mood of it, I must find the way to balance the impression of what it is in the final compo

• Hi there, well this is my first attemt to final composition, It is very rough as it is only a quick sketch just to figure out how it will be assembled, The plne just faded out in the background, gotta find its best position, rendering and lighting also are of course far to final, but it gives a clear idea where i am going to, clouds will be a matte paint so i have full control of it and the balls will be some kind of color cristals, I decided at trhis point to introduce some ruins of buidings in the background to make the image a bit more interesting, please, any suggestion will be very much appreciated at this stage, thanks!

Hi Omar !

The comp works very well , but I'm a bit sad , we don't see and recognize well the plane behind her and the cactus, which a shame because it's a one of the most original idea around here. May I suggest you lift up camera ? to see better the plane and with the girl looking at the camera...

Just my own feeling...

11-20-2005, 09:44 AM
Hey Mate, its really coming togeather now, i love the plane but its a shame you cant see all that lovely detail. I would say can you reduce the blur alittle as i think the image will come allot more alive if you can see that lovely plane more.

Apart from that great work mate

11-21-2005, 05:12 AM
This composition is already good... no need much modification...

Just the cactus is too visible comparing to the lady... and the airplane must be more visible...

I think you can hierarchize in 3 parts... the lady, and behind, the cactus, and behind the airplane... and with less depth of field... the only thing that we can understandle in the background is the reactor. But with the cactus more far, that can give you more place to see better your bonesplane...

• I think I got it! finally after going over and over my scene, i decided to leave the computer a while and start sketching like in the old days with pencil and paper to make my mind clearer and find my way to the final composition and mood of the scene and i came to this, then went back to the computer to set the scene like my sketch and i must say i like it as it is now, I am posting a B&W 'cuz i wanted to see only contrast btw light and darkness, the final coloring will definitly be a range of yellows like in the song of Coldplay: "It will be all yellow" I only hope it turns into something beatifull :D
The sky will come later, i will start painting as soon as I have the final render, some elements are still missing but i will work on them this week, gotta put my balls in it :D

Thanks Lem, I almost broke my head trying to find a balance between the girl, the cactus and the plane, after a while I thought: What the hell! We see lots of human figures and babe models all the time, but an skeletal organic plane...?, i think that is my shot, i will "sacrifice" the girl in the first plane and go for a panoramic view, this way i show the Plane, the full body of the girl and the cactus, so the espectator will have to navigate through the image to see the details, this way the picture will have more time to tell the story ;)

• Sonic-X: :) Thanks for the complimment! Also thanks to My Intuos tablet! :D
