Well I think I am going with this...I will submit perhaps another angle to see how it looks.
I want to portray the summoning of a divine being. I’ll have the conjurer represent innocence and naiveté- the example of someone with high talents but lack of wisdom trying to overextend her boundaries.
I’ve been thinking lately how it is that we wish for things and somehow we obtain them…but we never really thought about what we were wishing for. Then something unexpected happens and we start regretting our actions....
The other figure is blood-related to her, a male humanoid. He’ll be there to betray her. This is the one thing we overlook, that little detail we always seem to ignore but then it comes back at us and spoils everything. To achieve such event something must be given away in sacrifice. To some it’s freedom, to others a 'life'. While in this piece I want to make the life literal, to me it represents giving up old ways of being. She sacrificed another living creature in order to attain success at something she really didn’t know about. Her innocence is lost with death.
In the tarot, the card XIII Death really represents transformation.
And this is how I am seeing this right now… ^_^

I got the flu LOL either way...here's what I did today...a whole semester of just doing traditional art makes it hard to come back to the tablet...would this be done in less than 5 days? ...*trembles* lol *cough* *cough* *cough* *shivers*

I am drawing with the tablet...this is the first time I do so...it's a bit slow. BUT since my scanner is not good, and I am not comfortable with the level of detail one can get in an A4/8 x 11.5 paper- I decided to try it this way. I will be posting the process as I advance.
