Hi all of you, and good luck! This is my sketches so far. Can't really deside what I want to create, but I think I'll go for the last one. It's a really tall man (perhaps boy) who gets laughed of because of his height. Haven't really desided height yet but maybe around 3.5 meters.
The first sketch isn't finished yet but is a huge footprint. It's coming from a dinosaur or something, and some people are looking at it wondering what it is. The second is the Lock Ness monster, coming up from the surface.
Edit: some additional information about the first and second sketches.

I wouldn't have the other people laughing at him. I'd say have them looking up at his height in shock. He is the new student at the school and the other children can't believe how spectacularly tall he is!! Perhaps have someone taking a picture..have a teacher even looking up at him.
Anyway, goodluck fleshing out your ideas!

That's a good idea! The thing I wanted to achive by having a small crowd around him making fun of him, is the emotion. Spectacular people (and animals as well) isn't allways appreciated. Anyway, I will consider your idea, and maybe it's more spectacular. Perhaps it is the wrong kind of emotion I'm trying to achieve. Maybe it is the "WOW" feeling you should get and not the "OH" (sad). Anyway, school is waiting.

Goodluck, whichever path you choose. Just make sure to finish ;)

Here's a skatch of the tall man's face. It is a little exaggerated. He will probably be more photorealistic when I beginn to model. I'm also thinking about giving him a little characterism of Rowan Atkinson.

Here's another sketch, including body. I will create the crowd later, but now, finally, i'm going to begin modelling him.

I've begun modelling the giant now and have decided to go for a big giant instead of thin as in the skatch. I might post some more skatches but the one with the rigs still explain what's going on. A big sad giant, surounded by normal looking people.

Here's the body, still at a relativly early stage. I haven't found any good reference, and it's by the way my first male, non-cartoonish character so I'd be happy for some advices.

This is the model so far. Now I'm going to make the displacemap and texture it. The final skatch will come soon!

This is the second character of three. I will upload my final skatch later. But I'm always happy for C&C on the modelling.
