Thanks!

my idea (first concept):

two brothers, involved in a goverment experiment, get strongs powers.
one of them is the good guy and the other is the bad guy.
they fight in the street,
the good guy is over a plane, and the other in the street.
the city receives their rage.

Interesting concept! An airplane in the middle of a city seems a little bit too farfetched for me though, maybe you could make it a helicopter? Either way, I like the idea so far!

SergioSantos

I'm not sure that this concept be a good idea...
yesterday I built it with boxes and I think that this composition doesn't work,
specially the plane.
the characters are too far from the camera and everything is very confused.
I'm thinking to change my idea before start the modelling.
anyway, thanks for comments!

I think the viewpoint looks cool but I agree that it does look confusing. I hope you come up with an effective solution. Use your creativity. Develop a vision and go for it. You clearly have the ability to do so.

I have other idea,

background: inside a cathedral
a woman in man's arms, the woman is diying and the man brings her to the light.
the man is one kind of hero or maybe an angel. he fought with demons to saved her and now she needs to be out the cathedral. She wears a beutifull white dress and he wears a raincoat.

the tittle could be "miracle"

sorry, but i'm having a big brainstorm. I don't want to start modelling until i have all details of the scene.

What do you think about to change my concept? (from the "brothers fighting" to the "hero who saves a woman in a cathedral")

sorry, but i'm having a big brainstorm. I don't want to start modelling until i have all details of the scene.
This is the best thing to do, eventually made so small try with simple box to check if everything works...

the 'miracle' can be something very interesting... good luck

they aren't people flying... :D
they're demons! and they're on the walls (climbing)

I know the concept is not very clearly in this aspect, but it's only a concept I didn't wont to gave it too much time. (maybe with lights and shadows it could be more clear)

The lower back part of her head is too broad. If you feel your own you'll notice that it isn't much wider than the neck. Chin is too big, bit of a 'Jimmy Greaves' going on there :) I've spotted a '5-star' below the nostrils too.

Your doing a great job so far. Looks like some spots on the head aren't quite right. Needs alittle bit of tweaking but its coming out real good. Its tough to model people, I always toss a couple of models be for I get it right. I always surround myself with images and toys/models of my subject. Makes it alittle easier.

Good job

Looking good. One silly question: does SSS increase render time a lot?

SergioSantos
09-27-2005, 04:01 PM
This render took me about 10 min.
Mental ray isn't very fast (vray is faster), but i like very much the result of the SSS.

09-27-2005, 04:13 PM
In that case, what's the original resolution, sample quality? Did you use FG or GI, or only SSS? 10 minutes is not much, what's your machine? I somehow had the idea that SSS takes long. Thanks.

this is a good site to learn Zbrush:

How much time to render? More fast then Max 7.5?

I didn't do it anything with MAX 7.5,
but I tested some MAX 7 hair plugins and the new hair of MAX 8 is better and faster than this plugins of MAX 7 (Ornatrix, for example, crashes every minute and is slower).
I'm very hapy with the new hair feature of 3D MAX 8.
