Ah - so many great threads around... sorry I haven't seen this before!
Really some thrilling action going on here - and the scene and atmosphere is looking real good too.
I will follow your work with the clothes - are you going to use Reactor for this?

Cool! You have more patients at helicopter modelling than me for sure! :)

I find myself turing my head to see what the guy looks like the other way up, have you considered having him falling the other way up, ie still head first but belly down...?

Hey dude, there is a dude falling on my screen here!

Nice going Madshooter.I agree ,play abit with some different orientations for the unlucky dude and see what effect they have.

As suggested by Swamps and earlier mentioned by lemog, I have changed he character's pose and rotation. All c&c's and suggestions are welcome. Please let me know which one looks better the current pose or the earlier one.

Swamps: Yeah I think you are right I have alredy changed the character's pose Now I'm just waiting for suggestions, Thanx dude for kind reply and suggestion:)

SONIC-X: Thanx dude for suggestion and kind reply:) Yeah I'm still playing with different character poses.

daWinky: The movement of clothes depends on the final pose of the character:) If the current pose looks cool then I dont have to worry about doing all reactor dynamics and stuff;)
Thanx for kind reply Sabrina:)

Hi Roshan, good posing on that last one, yeah just one thing cloths are a bit stiff, get some wind blowing in them with a MAX fan under the character hehe!:scream:

Lemog
10-31-2005, 08:57 AM
Well... I like a lot this one... but maybe with a more dramatical pose... more "fly"... the body a little more turned to the ground... and legs more folded... a little as a flight in free fall, when we jumps of a plane...
...and the hands which seek to catch something... to save his life...

just some thoughts Roshan...

Zapan
10-31-2005, 09:12 AM
Yes Roshan , think that pose fits better. Maybe even more falling look would be great , like the head in the first plan looking at the camera , legs more up ... besides with the jacket in the wind , it would be nice and very dynamic... Well just one more idea...

Great work friend , waiting to see more :bounce: :wip: :bounce:

SONIC-X: I'm glad you liked the last option dude, but I guess the first pose is more dynamic and more like falling down and less like a jump.:)

thierry2005::scream: Hahahahaha... yeah I won't forget to put a Max fan behind his clothes, Thanx for replying and visiting my thread dude:)

Lemog: Okay dude I will go with the previous option, I mean the first one, Thanx for support and suggestion dude:)

Zapan: Yeah sure The first option for me too, Thanx for suggestion and support dude:)

I think I like that pose better but what I was suggesting was that he still be falling head first but on his front, maybe with an arm outstretched toward the cameras - could look really dynamic...

Gunilla
10-31-2005, 04:59 PM
Someone has to be thinking different, right? :) I actually preferred the one with him falling head first. For me this looks as he could be jumping upwards - I also feel like the head down where a bit more unusual and unexpected ... I'm sure this one will look great too if you decide to stay with it
Oh, I see Swamps have some great suggestions for how he could be falling head first - I agree with hime!

darkjedi1929
10-31-2005, 05:05 PM
Dude...Great looking pose. Only, you kinda need to pose your clothes now, if you know what I mean. For eg., the jacket should be puffed up and the t-shirt sticking closer to his body. Also the pose per se is looking a little "mirrored". Try to raise one of his hands way above his head, like he's trying to catch onto something. Aslo, show some splintering wood and wood pieces in the scene (You know, for the bridge). Plus, just for a bit of sadisticness, the helipcopter gunner is firing away at this guy....a couple of tracer bullets here and there.

daWinky
10-31-2005, 05:10 PM
Great update:thumbsup: , but if you want to know what looks more spectacular: I think the version with the head down would make it! Swamps and Gunilla already mentioned a little work on the posing could be nice...I agree with this and vote for the first version:bounce: :bounce: ! (I said already that I don't like the lensflare?? )

daWinky: Hey Sabrina I understand that you really hate that lens flare, As soon as I find time i will adjust that in vue5 you see the software is quiet new for me, also If I remove it compeletely The Env. wont remain colourfull like the way it looks now:) Thanx for Kind reply and support Sabrina:)

Zapan
11-01-2005, 08:42 AM
Sorry you guys for not agree with you :banghead: But I think I prefer the 3rd one...but more bend over
with the head more close from the camera and legs more up, so sorry Roshan for voting to an invisible choice...
Now I'll try to explain why : first of all , to me I think the composition will look better with a perspective like that, more action plan besides you can play with a dof and motion blur it could be something really nice. Second of all , the 2nd plan gives the feeling he 's going to lay down on the floor on his legs , well too easy action in fact a bit like James Bond, so in the 3rd one I guess we feel better the danger and the spectacular touch of the scene.

But this is just my feeling about it , that's only my opinion Roshan, now the choice is yours.
In any case I'm sure It will be a great picture, Go mate :wip: :)

Hi,

nicee going roshan :)

i have seen you work and work the way you work its really nice to seee such ideas popping out of your head.

i kind of agree on that bullet cause now you a high rated modeling eh :D am sure when you detail the whole scene so much why become lazy for the bullets dude get it right :)

am sure you willl.

one thing it might be silly  but i really feeel if this shot is the final look the the angle of the bullets is not the right one they should face to the right if they comming from that heli on the right else you have place one behind the guy, once again i feel its silly but :)

sergioKomic

Inxa: well bullets, no problem dude I have modeled it in such a way that I can very easily remove the front portion of the bullet as mentioned by sergioKomic:) Also you know me better dude I do have a lazy Ass heheheeh...:D Actually just imagine it this way the chopper is travelling from right to left side while shooting and that is why the bullets are whizzing -everywhere:) May be I'm wrong, thanx for replying and great support dude:beer:

I'm a bit late (not here yesterday...)... but I prefer something between 2 and 3... the pose of the guy is very good on the #2... but the body turned and the head more close is really good in the #3... and maybe more close... or with a different focal lentgh... to increase the falling effect...

I really like the bullet effect you have so far. My only suggestions would be to add a little more motion blur to the bullets, and try making the tails slightly more subtle just see to how looks to you. Right now, to me, the tail effect is resembling something like a water drop rather than an air/heat effect. There appears to be some reflectivity on the tails, which may be what is giving me the water impression.

Can't wait to see more.

Hi Pal,

been a long time... but here I am with some C&C... great work so far, I like the idea behind your image, dramatic camera view and all these things to happen in the next seconds. :applause: But of course here some critics: Your fire looks not very realistic... maybe it`s the shape or the grey smoke around the fireball. Maybe you try to give it more transparency and for the fireball maybe you`ll want to try some more shapes? But so far I got to say it again... very good work! Go with the flow! :buttrock:

Gunilla
11-08-2005, 09:27 PM
Bullet effect is really cool, a bit surreal - I like it! Perhaps you could crank up the explosion a bit? I think it could be less realistic and more in style with what you did with the bullets... perhaps a bit wavey trails or something... go on, this is going great now

hey maddy the work is progressing nicely...keep it up.

A few points here:

> For the tracer bullets effect, don't go in for the Matrix look. Its been done to death in movies all around the world, specially hindi movies  . Instead pick up a more "real" look, like in Saving Private Ryan or Band of Brothers. In my opinion it would lend a kind of brutal realisty to the scene.

>Also, since you are trying out HDRI skies anyway, why don't you try out a night scene? I mean, with the moon in the BG, providing key light and the tracer bullets and explosion providing the light near the character, it could look cool. Plus, it kinda helps the story, because, as a fugitive, I would like to run around at night....and if someone caught me, I would surprised as hell, as no doubt your character is..

>Remove the blur on the chopper, but keep it on its blades. Kinda like a chopper hovering in mid air effect.

Cheers dude

Nice update here Roshan, :bounce:

like the bullet FX, also if i think it can be more translucent.
You're doing a good work.
Like the render of the ladder-path, look really cool, but i think that the chopper is too blurred.
Just my 2cent.. :)

Zapan: Yeah you are right I have removed motion blurr from the chopper, actually I wanted to achieve a movement like the chopper is travelling from right to left while firing, because the bullets are whizzing everywhere in the scene, so rightnow I have added one more chopper not sure how it looks. Thanx dude for kind reply, motivation, suggestion and support:)

jddog:one more vote for motion blurr, I have removed it:) . Yeah the action has started and someone is gonna fall down:D. Thanx for support and kind reply dude:)

dark_jedi_1929: Hey dude thanx for suggestions for bullets I will think about it. About the night scene actually rightnow I pretty much satisfied with the env and lighting. For bullets I'm trying to make it more translucent. Thanx for kind reply and support dude:beer:

this image reminds me of "First Blood" when Rambo throws himself down the cliff!

IMO the blur on the guy is not working quite well, it is killing the perspective, maybe if you apply a bit of perspective to the blur it would help.

Lighting is more convincing now, you are going in the right direction:thumbsup: ...but the shadows are a little too dark in my opinion, many details are lost...perhaps you can play a little with the adjustments...on the other hand: there will be light from your explosion, right? Maybe you can use some highlights from the explosion on the lower part of your guy, especially for the jacket... I really like the motion blur now on the character, just the right amount:) !

hey my friend, i like the character a lot, i think i agree about the shadows, maybe u need to and an extra environmental light, maybe it doesnt need to cast shadows , a very delicate light can do the trick, just to add the environmental realistic look,

about the compo i think this is very good, shows some great action and the expression of the guy fits very well, u can see the fear in his expression, but u can also see that he have something planned to save his life from this hard situation, he looks like the movie hero.

good job so far Roshan:thumbsup:

I have tried my best to make the exlposion look better Couldn't do much in max, so intially started the explosion fx in max with particles and then did some paint job in photoshop.
Fot the bullet Fx I overdid the fx a bit so that it stands out, to make it look more prominent in the env, cause it is a staic image. In case of lighting I'm trying my best tweaking it everytime to make it look better.
Also I'm trying to compelete the final image as soon as possible, cause I'm still busy with some other job, I am only able to give two hours everday and still have to do the final render.

A mid-summer afternoon, a small town suddenly booms with noise and commotion. The Biggest fugtivie is on the Run. A long chase is at hand. Cars, Choppers every vehicle that can be used, every cop available is called for this action.

For 2 years this person has been running around from Worlds best guarded prisons, armies and police. After he was caught in a raging battle for Truth and conspiracy he fought back and ran till he could fight back. Now, after the Final climax his vengance has been completed.

After running and loosing on his captivators badly hurt he arrives on mountain reefs. All he could see is the other side a Free Life. A Hope to Escape.

With barks of hounds, guns shots filling the ears he breaks all his limits and runs the rope bridge that joins the two sides. Though the rope bridge was very weak and narrow it didnt break down his heart cause he had only two choices either the rope and freedom or the bullets and death.

As all courageous men would do he strove ahead above a never ending valley of trees and rocks. One missed step will cause his death. After the half way, he could hear a high sound of death - The Choppers. The Trees swayed and he started to feel the death song sung.

With the furry emerging as bullets the choppers started to him. With the speed of the bullets cutting the air even one shot could kill his courage and splash his blood on the rocks and the trees sliencing the raging atmosphere into a desert cold night. Suddenly the bullets hit the rope and the bridges breaks apart. He knows if he lands on the trees he will survive and the Run shall continue. So, with a confidence of Life and Valor he jumps believing he would be lucky to survive but with a small fear he might persih.

He takes this Jump as the Choppers keep firing, it would take 1 bulltet to kill him and a courage of a man to survive....

For the bullets I have purposely created the trails little short as the choppers are not moving right now as this is a static image and the bullets are whizzing everwhere in the air. I like the image, and the idea! A couple of suggestions... Whatīs striking me the most about this image is that the bullets donīt seem to be coming from either helicopter, even if theyīre coming in an "X". Meaning, not that Iīd need to see the trail all the way down to the nozzle of the gun, but at least have a tilt to the helicopters that would make it look like they shot him, at least. The background is really nice. The face is a bit "tight", but thatīs just my opinion. Good work!

dvelasco, Those types of choppers have rotatable gatling guns. Therefore the choppers dont necessarily have to be pointed at the target. I'm not sure, but it may be the case in the hi-res version.

MadShooter, Fantastic job man. The action in this scene is undenyable. Well executed and pretty spectacular in my opinion.
