3 hours in Photoshop with a Wacom... I can't really be involved with the war much but I wanted to contribute... hopefully people use this and get very imaginative with what the box does after post 13...

my avatar came from a piece I did back when I telemarketed (yeh, I know - bad me)... his name is Johnny Harvest, he was just sort of an anti-social guy with alot on his mind... similar to a Tetsuo character... I never planned on using him again, but here he is...

I usually try to do lettering myself just for exercise, but this time I was working with really short deadline ("oh sh*t, i'm gonna miss the bus and i'll be late for work if I don't finish it in exactly 4 minutes 30 seconds"), so i just found some nice fonts on my disk, and use them instead.

And about bubbles - theyre just layers with added stroke (or, as in this case, black outer glow), nothing very complicated :) If there is some extra time to spare - I usually duplicate the bubble, fill it with black, move it under the white one, and distort/transform it a little bit to gain some asymetrical, more natural feel...
