Hello Artists from CGTalk :)

I kinda didn't know where to put this question, since it's about Illustrator, and not about Photoshop :)

I'm trying to find out how I disable the option in Adobe Illustrator 10, that, when I draw lines, I get these weird blue dots on the line, connected by a thin blue line, and when I start a new line wich is close to the old one, or wich crosses with the old one, it 'connects' the two lines and sometimes deletes the old line or totally deforms it...

My english is pretty bad when it comes to the point :) I hope you understand what I mean and you can help me.

Thanks in Advance,
ReinS

The solution to your problem:

On the toolbar DOUBLE CLICK on the tool you are using (ie..paintbrush or pencil) a window will pop up called 'TOOL PREFERENCES' Under the 'options' turn off 'KEEP SELECTED' hit "OK" and you are good to go.

Hope it works out for you! :)
