Hey. I've just ordered some upgrades for my computer.
I use it for learning Maya 7, using photoshop CS2 and doing a bit of video editing on the side. Just wondering if these specs will give me good fast renders.

Athlon 64 3700
120Gb HDD
GeForce MX 440
Xp Home
400W PSU

I know the graphics aren't hugely up to date. I've got a few viewport problems in Maya. Was just wondering if anyone else has this card and has experienced any problems of their own?
Thanks in advance

If the above specs indicate your budget I wouldnt get a 3700 and a poor Graphics card like the MX, I would get a 3200 Venice overclock it and get a 6600 GT or ideally 6800GT.

IF you saved how long would it take to save for a Dual Core X2 and a 6800GT as thats real nice system.

Huh? :argh:

Upgrade your graphics card and it should help alot. If you have 512 or lower mb of RAM, add another 512 at least. Everything should be better after that.
