Hi Guys,
I'm just about to start buying parts for a new PC and I've been having a good browse through this forum for thoughts on a good graphics Board.
I have already decided on the following:
Asus A8N-SLI Premium
Antec 550W TruePower
AMD X2 4800+
2 x DiamondMax Plus 10 300GB SATA150 7200rpm 16MB Cache
Antec P180EU tower
I want something primarily to use with 3d Studio Max.
From what I have read here, the Nvidia family of graphic cards gets a good reputation.
But reading through the Nvidia specs for the cards ... there is a HUGE difference on price between the entry model (FX 330) and the top of the line card (FX 4500).
While I am not too concerned about the cost, there does seem to be a huge step in price between the top models.
Does it make any sense thinking about 2 mid-range cards in SLI than the top board FX4500 ?
I don't want to compromise on the graphics card - jsut want to know my options. If anybody uses any of the high-spec Quadros could you comment ?
Thanks
Dave
