View Full Version : Wireless USB Network Adapter w/ 64-bit Support?
alexyork 09-04-2005, 12:33 AM Hi folks. Just setting up my new 64-bit windows system and the only bit of hardware I can't use with it is my US Robotics 5421 wireless USB adapter, because there are no 64-bit drivers written for it. yet. (I've started shouting at USR to write some!).
So can anyone suggest a good wireless USB adapter that has certified and tested 64-bit windows driver support?
Cheers!

Same dilemma. I spent too much time working this out. What I finally did (after calling Microsoft who weren't helpful) was to bypass drivers and go with one of these.

That’s the only way to go!

ah that's a shame  this is really irritating - it's the only piece of hardware I can't use on my new PC, so I'm forced to use both my old and new PCs at the same time if I want to use the internet on my new PC! what a faff.
thanks for the link too btw, but it's out of my price range. all i need is a little 5mb driver for this darned adapter and I'm set! lazy USRobotics... even Wacom have released a 64-bit driver for the graphire 2 and that's ancient! this adapter is almost brand new on the market.
I'm sure somebody will come out with a 64-bit USB adapter at some point. I'll bet a PCI adapter will come out 1st, but I can't install any more PCI cards in my shuttle PC so it has to be USB.
