Here are 2 mobile station systems that offer basically same thing with Hypersonic being cheaper by $400. When it comes to RAM Boxx offers up to 3GB RAM, Hypersonic offers up to 4 GB RAM. Also, Boxx doesn't offer Windows 64 and Hypersonic offers for mobile stations. Hypersonic gives System Recovery DVD and shipping is also cheaper. I am confused about choosing the system, Hypersonic seems to give more for less with same components. Any advise would be appreciated.

Call me, I'd be happy to help you out. We haven't released the GoBOXX with Win64 because our testing continues to show there are driver issues. We will not put a system on the street that is unstable.

Hi,

thanks for response:

Is 3GB of RAM the maximum for 2300? I think it was 4GB a week ago.

When it comes to Windows 64, if the new driver comes out I would have to buy Windows 64 separately from what I understand or is it a free upgrade?

Do you guarantee that there are no Dead Pixels in Boxx?

Is there a process of checking laptops that there are no defects before shipping, Hypersonic has a 72 hour process of evaluating the laptop?

I would like a system for rendering/3d animation.

thanks.
Kris.

We've found in some testing that the system will not take advantage of more than 3GB so we decided to pull back in what we offer. As for the Win64, the free upgrade that Microsoft offered ended July 31st so you'd have to purchase a new OS when the driver issues are resolved.

Is this system relatively quiet? are fans loud?
I want to use Laptop also for recording music besides rendering/animation

I certainly would not call any mobile workstation with a full P4 or Athlon64 processor "quiet". I do some audio work with mine but, in my workflow, ambient noise is never an issue.

Hi,

What can you say to convince me to buy Boxx laptop than Hypersonic?
I am still puzzled because it is exactly same combination of components in both systems and Hypersonic is about $400 cheaper with additional benefits like charges for shipping in case something happens are covered, DVD Recovery , 4GB Ram, .

The processor seems to be the same: Intel 915P
Video Card: Nvidia Quadro FX1400 256MB
TV Tuner
3GB RAM
17" 1920x1200 Wide Screen
BlueTooth Wireless

It is a difficult decision to make. Boxx was my first choice but now I am not so sure.
here is my email address: rhinomodeler@yahoo.com
in case you can match the price.
thanks
Kris.
