so... i work on a dell m70 notebook... pretty much exclusively maya. everything has run beautifully until now. when i do a playblast and the quicktime pops up, playback is delayed for a moment, and is then stuttery. after a couple plays, whatever it is resolves itself and the quicktime plays normally. this isnt the same as the xp playblast theme bug.
does anyone know what it could be? is my ram going bad or something? i defragmented the drive and all, but there is no difference. this might seem like a small thing but it has actually slowed my animation workflow down considerably. help! ...thanks in advance
UPDATE--
changed the compression setting to cinepak and all is well now. it was set to full frames (uncompressed). i dont remember ever changing it to full frames... does anyone know what it is by default?
