I recently just purchased 4gb ram for my new Athalon 4400 :) when i started thinking imagine if i could have 8gb!! So my question is, are there any 2gb Ram Sticks available, my search on Google turned up nothing so i suspect there are not???

Cheers

IF you have a 4400 single or dual core 939 most motherboards only support 4GB.. and actually that is overkill because XP Pro only utilizes 2GB.

To answer your question:

Yes 2GB modules exist. 4GB modules exist as well... They're not cheap :) 1GB modules is about where the price increase becomes very exponential.

512 sells for about $80
1GB sells for around $150-$200
2GB sells for about $500

You can forget about 4GB :) the latencies and MHz start to fall off at that density. Plus most 4GB modules I've ever seen are ECC Registered, meaning they wont work with your X2.
