Just wondering if anyone here has used any plugins for masking. Does anyone use any, or just use the tools in Photoshop?

I still find masking (and making a clipping path to be used in page layout app) one of the most time consuming tasks. I actually enjoy the process of creating masks, but they tend to just take too long. If I have to design pages and stop to create silhouttes, it really slows things down.

Also, has anyone used any software from a company called Human Software? They have a pretty inexpensive masking plugin (as well as others).

Thanks for your input.

Yeah, I've ssen that one. It better be one heck of a masking tool for that money, though.

I never use any masking plugins, either. Just wanted to know if my "homemade" methods are the norm.

I noticed clipping paths are almost always done by hand, rather than generating one from a mask. I assume because the path quality is never as good as one done by hand.

I know someone who praised Corel Knockout for years, but after he tried Fluid mask he completely switched to this program. I haven't tried the program myself (yet), but most people I talked with are very positive.
