I am trying to create a water falling effect to loop and use as a gif for a website. Ive complied my first frame, which is really good and Im happy with the way it looks when I get it on the website (there is a second layer of colour which makes it look much better) but Im having real trouble getting into making a second frame, and the follow ons from that. So far Ive used photo references that Ive taken and spliced them together to get this. The one Im using is much higher res. But this gives an idea.

After studying water movements, other than the change in shape which is quite modular, the undulation of the water pouring, the main effect of the water moving is shown by the way the light reacts with the water. I am aware it looks naff in this greyed out state, but it does honestly look good when put on the webpage with colour.

So what Im really asking for, is your help and advice on what points you think I really need to look out for and effects that can help me acheive what I want to do. Im using photoshop for this currently.
