Pray tell ...what grade be that fine pencil you are wielding there ? ...tis a mighty weapon indeed to produce such quality...well..appart from top middle, that head is odd...squishy..

Very nice effect with your lovely sketches. It looks like you snatched them from a secret hoard of rennaissance drawings. Great work.:thumbsup:

Hey guys, thanks for the nice words.

The pencils I use are from Derwent Pencils from England: http://www.pencils.co.uk/products/product.asp?category=67&subsection=260&id=1651 - not sure if they sell them in the US, but any half decent brand should do, better pencils aren't going to make you a better artist.

Paper I use is regular copy paper, just some cheap white stuff.

I use photoshop to alter the hue and paper color and to beef up certain highlights a little - when I scan in, I make sure that the brightness is toned down and the contrast is increased, which allows the scanner to pick up the grain of the paper, the scanner is a cheap $200 job.
