If you are like me, you use this command when working within a large scene so you don't have to zoom around to all your different objects. problem i notice is how slow this command is often when working on these larger scenes. it's almost faster to manually navigate to the object.

however, every so often i notice that it's instantaneously fast even in these large scenes! i can't figure out if the speed has something to do with the type of object i select, or how many objects are hidden/active in the OM, or what?

any ideas on how this command works and how to get it to go fast all the time? how hard can it really be for the computer to move a camera?

thanks

Did you test the SceneManager PlugIn from http://www.katachi.de/
Seems to be a good strategy for big scenes.
