View Full Version : Can I store fonts in a different folder?

I have about 3000 fonts crammed into my fonts folder, and was wondering if it is possible to store them somewhere else, similar to the additional plug-ins folder in PS. It's not a major problem, it's not crippling my computer or anything, but is there a better way?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Run %windir%\fonts
it opens up the font folder,
Now go to file>install new font,

there is a option at the bottom of the panel for not copying the fonts to the main font directory,
choose that and go to your desired font directory, select the fonts and click install.

But the better way to do this is, using a font manager like Adobe Type Manager Delux

Hope this helps...

Adobe Type Manager sort of does it in a quick way. Instead of copying files to the font folder it creates a shortcut to the font.
