Does anyone know what the midrange($595) Quadro FX card is comparable to as far as gaming cards go? Is is better than having the best Geforce or Radeon card?

There is no benefit to using a Quadro card with Lightwave and this is based on my experience. The only reason I use a quaudro card is that I also use Maya which does benefit from a workstation card. If your just using Lightwave get a GeForce 6 or 7 series card.

yeah Agree with mlmiller1983 I got a Gforce 6800 and QuadroFX1000
between the 2 LW did really improve
But XSI and Messiah and my Dual monitor performance is better with the QuadroFX1000

I hear games aren't much chop on a Quadro card but i have never tried it :shrug:
