View Full Version : Who wants to draw a friend of mine
Janne86 08-29-2005, 11:05 AM Hey,
I found this forum through a Dutch guitar forum and I have no knowledge of CG at all. So I need some help from you.
I'm looking for someone who would like to make a painting of a friend of mine (she always wanted a poster of herself :)).
Just a picture of her, background isn't necessary. You can PM me and I'll send you a site with some photos, the rest is up to your creativity (well it has to be at least recognisable).
Hm I don't know anything else to add right now, if I think of anything I'll edit this post and if you have any questions just ask.

Uhm I'm just looking for someone who would like to do it just for fun, or to learn/try something new. Or I'll send you a cd with some acoustic guitar music of mine if you want ;).
Edit: Well I don't know how much you guys ask for things like this, and it has to be a fun present to give. But if anyone says a reasonable price and if it isn't to hard to get the money to you I'll reconsider that.

Haha thanks, I hope so. I've got the idea in my head pretty long now and I'd love to see some "results" (to bad she would look like some kind of alien if I drew her, or else I would have done it myself :) )

hey, on the other note I thought you could post this in some other forums here on cgtalk, cuz if you look at the wip/creutiqe 2d forum, there are alot more threads and posts, witch means more visitors, or in the general duscussion forum, try there, you'll get more response, and even maybe post a picture of your friend here (if thats alright with her)
there are'nt as many visitors here every day as in other places on cgtalk, I barely check here myself
Is the acoustic guitar CD of good audio quality?
Are you a skilled musician or amateur?
Could I use the music for my short film in exchange for my artistic services?
I ask because I could paint a portrait, but my time isn't free. I'd like to hear a sample of the music and see the photos before I commit to anything though. I've attached a few of my own samples below.

@ Ac0rN, I thought about posting it somewhere else, but I don't know if it's polite to post it in multiple forums, I asked a moderator and he said that this was the best forum to post it in (maybe I'll try a threat in the 2d part). But I'd rather keep the photo/picture part outside of the public area :), anyone who is interested can ask me and I'll send you a pm.
@Kirt, Some samples of music I play: http://www28.brinkster.com/jannegitaar/mp3s.htm , tha quality isn't really great and I play the songs a lot better now, but if you like I can record a song again with some better quality. I'll send you a link with some photos by pm.
Ow and if someone else would like to draw her two, you're welcome, maybe I can give her a whole book :).
Janne
Aw crud ... I can't use those music files, they aren't original compositions.
Do you write your own music at all? I really need a soundtrack for my film.
Your site went down (photos)

Yeah I just thought about that, no I've never written anything myself, I'd like to try, but I'm afraid it wouldn't be of very good quality.
I'll send you another link that might work.

Well that was a good idea, but I guess my topic there was deleted pretty fast, so I think those forums aren't meant for requests like this one.
So if anyone who reads this is interested, you can send me a pm ;).

Well, I'm going to have to regretfully decline then. Unless I'm bored and have nothing else to do (rare) I won't be doing the portrait. Too bad, I was hoping we could work some arraingement with the music.
You're friend is cute, but looks rather surprised in most of those pics. Stop sneaking up on her to take the pics. :D

Yeah to bad, if I think of some brilliant song, I'll let you know.
Yep she's kinda cute, and I didn't take those photos, there are problably pictures of her were she looks more "normal", but I couldn't find any :).

Re: deleted comments
Please refrain from the discussions of politics and policies on CGSociety's forums. The comment on Americans (above) was in jest and, being American myself, understood it to be humorous. Let's not get our shorts in a bind over it, OK? Thank you.

Kirt I'm sorry for my post regarding political topics it was just a simple joking respose to a miscronstrued symbol of all americans. I'm sorry to anyone I offend I did not see any of the responses though because I was out and just recently got back. Any way kirt I really enjoy you art work your portraits are some of my favorites.

Hey, Mannix8 is drawing a picture of her. You can see the WIP in the 2d WIP forum in the "dutch girl" thread: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=274187 .
